Netflix’s ‘Human Resources’ Adds Two Major Voice Actors To Cast
Netflix added two major names to its voice cast for the animated series Human Resources. The Big Mouth spin-off series follows the Hormone Monsters in what amounts to a workplace comedy. With the two new additions, it looks like the series plans to go big in what will end up as its final season.
Here is a look at the two new voice cast members and what fans can expect from the final season of the show.
Human Resources adds two major names to cast
Human Resources is the adult-animation series on Netflix that is a spin-off from the wildly successful Big Mouth. The original series is about a group of middle school kids who tackle the struggles of puberty with the help of their personal Hormone Monsters. Human Resources focuses on the monsters in their workplace environment.
The second season of the Netflix series hits later in 2023 and just added two major stars to the voice cast. Both Florence Pugh and Miley Cyrus have joined the cast. Miley is both a critically-acclaimed singer and a veteran actress. In the release date trailer, Hormone Monstress Connie was excited that Hannah Montana was joining the cast. As for Florence Pugh, the actress who plays Yelena Belova in the MCU was called the “next Meryl Streep” in the trailer.
These additions are huge in an already star-studded cast. The first season featured names like Randall Park, Helen Mirren, Ali Wong, Hugh Jackman, Rosie Perez, and Thandiwe Newton. Jackman will be back. Also, other new Season 2 cast members include Eugene Levy (American Pie), Sam Richarson (Veep), and Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet).
Human Resources and Big Mouth both ending
The worst news is that both Human Resources and Big Mouth are coming to an end. While Big Mouth remains one of Netflix’s top animated shows, it will end with its upcoming eighth season. Human Resources, which was a spin-off bringing the Hormone Monsters to the forefront, will end with its second season.
Human Resources will arrive first, in the next few months of 2023. However, Big Mouth Season 8 will be the send-off for characters for both shows and will end the story completely. That season will hit in 2024. With eight seasons, Big Mouth was the longest-running scripted show in Netflix history, not including kids’ programming.
Big Mouth and Human Resources combined for over one billion hours on Netflix to date, watched by over 50 million households. “If you would have told adolescent Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg that middle school would take eight years to finish, they would have been like, ‘Yeah, that sounds about right,’” creator Nick Kroll said.
