‘Below Deck’: Gary King Explains Why Daisy Is With Colin

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Gary King revealed the reason why Daisy Kelliher ended up with Colin McRae. The two hook up in the new season. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Daisy dished on their kiss. She said what led to their hookup.

Daisy and Colin are both single in the new season. They started out as friends. Daisy always had an attraction to Colin, but he was always in a relationship. Now, the two are pursuing their attraction to one another.

Why Daisy Kelliher moved on

In a new interview with In Touch Weekly, Gary shared his thoughts on why Daisy moved on. Fans noticed this in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 trailer that the two hooked up in the bunk. Gary explained why he thinks Daisy ended up with the chief engineer.

“Maybe Colin’s just a better person than I am,” Gary told In Touch Weekly. “Maybe Daisy sees something more in him than she sees in me. The only thing I can do is be supportive. They’re both good friends of mine, but it did come as a massive shock to me.”

He’s not happy to hear about their hookup in the coming season. Gary and Colin are best friends and bunkmates, which could tarnish their friendship. Also, Gary has a crush on Daisy and has for many seasons. He admits their relationship caught him off-guard.

“Colin had a girlfriend in the previous seasons. He came into this season as a single man,” Gary explained. “Daisy and I have always had a connection.”

Still not over this Below Deck boatmance

Below Deck fans wonder if Daisy and Colin will end up as a couple. In her respective interview with In Touch Weekly, Daisy teased that they will go through ups and downs. It could have something to do with Gary or with Colin flirting with the other girls on the boat.

As for Gary, he’s still not over their boatmance. However, he noticed there were sparks between them in previous seasons. Gary feels blindsided by their blossoming romance. He admits that he has no ill will towards them.

Gary says the Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans will have their own feelings about this relationship as well. For years, viewers have wanted Gary and Daisy to date. Gary said they’re going to be “divided” and will “pick sides,” even though he doesn’t want them to. Ultimately, the trio ended up good friends after this charter season.
