‘YR’ Alum Thad Luckinbill Added To Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Lioness’
Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan may be dealing with some very public issues with his hit Paramount Western series, but it looks like his upcoming series Lioness is lathered up and ready to go.
Moreover, he just added Young And The Restless heartthrob Thad Luckinbill to the cast.

YR Star Thad Luckinbill Joins Lioness Cast
On Tuesday, Deadline reported that Thad Luckinbill has been added for a “heavily reoccurring” role in Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Paramount+ series Lioness. This is the highly anticipated series that stars Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldaña, and Morgan Freeman, amongst others.
This is a gritty spy thriller series that promises good storytelling from the Yellowstone creator.

What Is New Taylor Sheridan Series About?
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Jill Wagner, Lioness is a series based on a real-life CIA program. The new series follows young Marine recruit Cruz Manuel (Laysla De Oliveira). She has been recruited for the little-known program called the CIA Lioness Engagement Team.
Members of the team have a mission to infiltrate terrorist organizations from the inside. Zoe Saldaña will play station chief Joe. She is in charge of leading the elite operatives. Thad Luckinbill portrays Kyle. He is an old friend of Joe’s. His job is overseeing a trafficking contact. Rounding out Joe’s circle is Dave Annable, who portrays Neil, Joe’s husband and the father of their two daughters. One of those daughters is Kate, portrayed by Hannah Love Lanier.
Next, Nicole Kidman portrays CIA senior supervisor, Kaitlyn Meade. Trapped in a political position as a woman in the intelligence community, she has to keep a distance from everyone she loves to earn respect from others. She is the ice queen.
Morgan Freeman has signed on to portray Edwin Mullins, the United States Secretary of State.
In addition, Mystery 101 star Jill Wagner will star as Bobby, a CIA Special Activities Division operative. Next, LaMonica Garrett is Tucker, and James Jordan is Two Cups. They portray special operatives on Joe’s team under the CIA Special Activities Division.
Added to the cast is Austin Hébert as Randy. Randy is the techie who is in charge of surveillance and other high-tech needed to accomplish their mission. Jonah Wharton portrays Tex. He is also on Joe’s team.
Lastly, Stephanie Nur portrays Aaliyah, as the daughter of a billionaire businessman. She is on the team’s radar as she has ties to terrorism.

When Will Paramount+ Premiere Lioness?
Lioness should premiere sometime in 2023. They began filming late in 2022, and are now wrapping up production of the series, it seems likely that the series will not premiere until late summer, or later.
