Joy and Austin are the parents of two-year-old Evelyn Mae and four-year-old Gideon Martyn. Sadly, they have also experienced a pregnancy loss. This heartbreaking loss hit them very hard.
If you didn’t know, Joy had a 20-week pregnancy loss in late June 2019. This was her second pregnancy so it was between Gideon and Evelyn. Sadly, when Austin and Joy Forsyth went into the doctor’s office for an anatomy scan and to learn the baby’s gender, they learned that she no longer had a heartbeat. She was born a few days later on July 1, 2019. They named her Annabell Elise.

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, Joy took to her Instagram Stories to reflect on her pregnancy loss. She revealed that this day three years ago was her “angel baby’s due date.” She linked to the post she shared in July 2019, in which she shared the sad news with fans. Also on her Instagram Stories, Joy shared a photo of herself, her sister Jill Dillard, and Austin. In the photo, they are all looking at Annabell’s tiny body.
Joy Forsyth reflected, “I vividly remember, I was looking at her little mouth and her perfectly formed tongue and lips. Crying because she wasn’t crying.”
Finally, she shared a photo of Annabell’s little feet and noted that she would have been three years old on Nov. 9 if she was born on her due date.

Joy and Austin had their rainbow baby, Evelyn in 2020, and she’s a healthy two-year-old today. They are now expecting a new baby in May 2023 and Joy is about 11 weeks along.
