Carlin Bates Trying To Keep Quiet About Controversial Decision?
Bringing Up Bates fans are beginning to think that Carlin Bates Stewart has something to hide. They think she might have done something controversial and wanted to be careful about how she mentioned it. So, what’s the situation? Keep reading for all of the details.
Carlin tends to keep things positive on social media, though she’s recently opened up about her mysterious health issues. Fans think she could have participated in a controversial holiday but knew that she would get backlash if she posted about it online.
So, what did Carlin post that has fans talking about this secret choice she made?
If you’re a fan of the Bates family, you may know how they feel about Halloween. Gil and Kelly Jo Bates don’t like Halloween and instead celebrate the fall season, in general.
On October 31, one Bates daughter, Alyssa, shared photos of her kids all dressed up in Paw Patrol costumes. But she’s the only one who explicitly showed fans that her family celebrated the holiday. Some Christians don’t like to celebrate Halloween, so Alyssa did receive a few negative comments from fans.
Did Carlin Bates & her family celebrate Halloween?
On her Instagram Stories, Carlin shared a couple of photos of her husband, Evan Stewart sitting in a chair with their two kids, Layla and Zade. In the snaps, the dad and his kids are sorting through a grocery bag filled with candy. Carlin captioned one of the photos, “Post October 31.”
In another photo, Carlin Bates and her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Layla are enjoying suckers together.
Bringing Up Bates fans weigh in.
On Reddit, fans are discussing Carlin Bates’ recent post about her kids. They noticed that Evan, Layla, and Zade were looking through a bag of candy. Both Layla and Zade are wearing black cat-printed pajamas. Some fans think the family celebrated Halloween but that they may want to keep it private due to potential backlash.
Carlin didn’t specifically use the word Halloween or show off any costumes her kids wore. Because she’s being quiet about it, it’s unclear if they actually celebrated Halloween or if they just enjoyed some candy on sale.
One fan said, “I wouldn’t be surprised. Alyssa does, Carlin probably just keeps it quiet.”
Someone else added, “My guess is a ‘fall fest’ at church and refusing to say Halloween.”
Another Bringing Up Bates fan urged Carlin to just admit that she celebrated if she did. The fan wrote, “Taking your kids trick or treating and dressing them in ‘spooky’ pajamas IS celebrating Halloween. You can say the word Halloween! The devil ain’t gonna come snatch you up for participating in a harmless secular holiday called HALLOWEEN!”
