‘Unexpected’ UPDATE Did Jason Korpi Ever Go Back To Court?
Unexpected star Jason Korpi was the least desirable player for Season 5. Viewers did almost everything that they could to get him removed from the show. They found his behavior both manipulative and abusive. However, he believed he was solely responsible for a rating spike. When it came to the tell-all, his fellow co-stars just wanted him to be accountable for how he treated his girlfriend, Kylen Smith. This never happened and the couple ultimately left the stage. Yet, eyes were still on Jason as he had a court date coming up for eleven charges. So, what happened? Read on for more details and a huge update.
An Unexpected Day In Court
If you have been following Jason’s court saga, you might know that he did not show up for his initial arraignment. It was originally scheduled for May 3rd. However, when Starcasm looked into what the outcome was, they came up empty-handed and with good reason. Jason was a no-show. After that, a bench warrant was issued but it was recalled after two weeks when his new arraignment date was scheduled for June 28. No information was released after this arraignment so it was unclear if he even showed up this time.
Now, three months later, Starcasm has a complete update regarding what has happened. The teen father pleaded not guilty to the eleven charges against him. Granted some were technically violations but not guilty, nonetheless. Next up was a trial management conference set for August 30th. However, that has since been postponed until November 1. Therefore, Xavier’s father still has some time to figure out his next steps when he reenters the courtroom.
What Did He Do Wrong?
Apparently, back in February of this year, the Unexpected star was driving while under the influence. Korpi also had alcohol in his car and he is also underage. To add to this, his headlights were not on and he followed that by attempting to drive away from the police. He also had two prior arrests in 2019. There is also the fact that most people strongly dislike the reality “star.” He shot to same when he and his girlfriend, Kylen were cast on the TLC reality series Unexpected.
They started dating in high school and soon found out they were pregnant as he billed himself a “professional rawdogger.” Once Kylen was expecting, Jason ensured he had control over almost every facet of her life. He even wanted her to have a home birth over hospital despite her reluctance. They welcomed a son, Xavier. Fans of the series went crazy, demanding Jason be removed from the series for his atrocious behavior. As of now, he has claimed the couple will not be returning to the show. It seems he has more important things to deal with like his court case.
What do you think is next for Jason? Will he get off easy or face serious consequences? Let us know in the comments.
