‘GMA’ George Stephanopoulos Trolls Will Reeve For Rookie Move

GMA host George Stephanopoulos trolled Will Reeve for his rookie mistake. The OG host had no problem with setting the newcomer straight during the on-air broadcast. Will already looked nervous when he got caught making the mistake behind the cameras. The journalist tried to warm up as he danced to the background music.

His fellow co-hosts announced the new cast of Dancing with the Stars. The dancing competition will premiere on September 19 on Disney+. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Sam Champion is part of the cast.

During the announcement, the other co-anchors laughed at Will as he made a blunder behind the scenes. George Stephanopoulos took the opportunity to call him out for it.

Will Reeve was grooving along to the music. Then, he started doing a dance in which he moved his thumbs. George Stephanopoulos called him out while his fellow colleagues laughed at Will.

The 61-year-old trolled the 31-year-old anchor: “You know that was a big rookie error right there.” Will fired back: “What, dancing?” He laughed nervously as his co-anchors noticed his horrible dance moves.

Maybe Will could appear on DWTS next year. This comes after George made his own on-screen blunder. The veteran anchor’s phone rang during a broadcast. Good Morning America ended with a serious segment about the election of England’s new prime minister.

George Stephanopoulos was still in vacation mode. He just returned from his long Greece vacation. As GMA was wrapping up the segment on the newly elected prime minister Liz Tuss, George’s phone started ringing. His voice-controlled personal assistant reminded him something about “lower blood pressure.”

George responded: “Okay, thanks very much.” Robin Roberts informed him that his phone was ringing. Fellow co-host Michael Strahan laughed while George looked embarrassed. Michael told him to mute it, and he tried but failed.

GMA host quashes retirement rumors

Fans missed George Stephanopoulos for most of the summer. He went on an extended vacation with his wife Ali Wentworth. The two traveled to Greece together. The longtime host returned from his break but was missing again on Friday and Monday morning.

Some fans still fear that another host could take his place if George retires from the show. They are wondering if his position could go to Will or Gio Benitez. Fans love the idea of either the younger co-anchors replacing George. Meanwhile, others want to see the veteran be a part of the show for as long as he can.
