She was able to skip rounds and scope out her competition. Kenedi had an upper hand over her competition. It was likely that she would’ve made it all the way to the end. Even judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan thought she was a strong contender.

Kenedi was the frontrunner of American Idol and she easily became a fan favorite. For some reason, fans keep losing their favorites. During Monday’s episode, Kenedi and the other 11 contestants of the Top 24 performed for America’s votes. She performed her rendition of Christina Perri’s “Human.”

However, fans noticed that they couldn’t vote for her performance. Host Ryan Seacrest appeared on the screen with a message.

“You might have noticed that voting information wasn’t available for Kenedi. Since we taped these shows in Hawaii earlier, Kenedi has decided to withdraw from our show for personal reasons. We send her well wishes.”

AI fans think they know why the blonde beauty left. Sometimes the best talent doesn’t always win. That’s why fans think she dropped out of the competition. The 17-year-old is rumored to have gotten a record contract from another label.

American Idol hopeful breaks her silence on social media

The American Idol hopeful took to social media to break her silence. She released a statement explaining why she mysteriously disappeared from the show. In her lengthy message, Kenedi thanked her fans and followers for their support. No other reason was given except for “personal reasons.”

“For personal reasons, I’m unable to continue on American Idol. This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I know it’s necessary. Thank you for giving me such an amazing opportunity to share my voice, chase my dreams, feel so much joy and happiness doing what I love, and make lifelong friends along the way.”
