Duggar Snarks Question Jessa Seewald’s Wardrobe Choice For Ivy
Duggar family critics have lots of questions about a recent outfit choice for Jessa Seewald’s daughter, Ivy. This has sparked a big discussion online about the two-year-old little girl’s wardrobe. So, what was Ivy wearing, and what are people saying about it?
This week, Jessa shared a new YouTube video, giving fans a peek into her family’s ugly Christmas sweater party. She admitted that’s turned into an ugly outfit party in general, so not everyone wears an ugly sweater. They can wear any type of un-fashionable outfit they want to.
Jessa Seewald filmed the whole gathering at Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s home. They do this every year during the holiday season. The party is complete with a competition, prizes, and a white elephant gift exchange.
In the video, Jessa also included a picture of her family. She and Ben Seewald have four kids, Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern. Ivy’s outfit has raised some questions, however.

Over on Reddit, Duggar family critics in the Duggars Snark subreddit are talking about Ivy Seewald’s outfit in the new video.
The little girl is wearing a princess dress, but it looks like she has added a few layers under it and on top. This might have been her way of making her outfit more “ugly” to fit the theme of the party. But Duggar snarkers are wondering if there’s another reason for Jessa or Ivy’s layering choices.
Someone found a picture of the dress without a layer on top and wrote, “Someone please explain to me what is so inappropriate about this costume that a two year old needs a modesty panel shawl.” 
Some critics think that Jessa Seewald might have wanted Ivy to put the white collar on top of her dress for modesty reasons. Though the dress is made for children, it’s possible that Jessa thought it showed too much skin or was too tight. In the past, the Duggars have worn modesty panels, which provide extra coverage on low-cut clothing items.
One Duggar snarker criticizes Jessa for even buying the dress if she found it “immodest.”
One Reddit user points out, “Unpopular opinion, but I don’t think it’s for modesty. When I was little I’d just kinda see things I thought were neat and put them on. It was probably around the house for some reason and she saw it and wanted to put it on.”
Another chimes in, “My first thought was that it was with the pile of girls dress up clothes and she just wanted to wear it”
