Raquel Leviss, James Kennedy Still Friendly Amid Split

Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy ended their engagement in December 2021. She has since moved out of the apartment they once shared. However, the former couple has remained good friends. Both of them confirmed that they still talk to this day.

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Raquel addressed the cause of her split from her ex-fiance. She revealed on Scheana Shay’s “Schenanigans” podcast that she and James “broke up the night before” the show’s Season 9 reunion taping. The duo got engaged in May 2021 after more than five years together. James and Raquel shocked fans when they announced their breakup in a joint statement on Instagram.

Where the couple stands

During the interview, Raquel revealed where the two stand to this day. She shared that they are on good terms. The former model never wanted to give up on their friendship. It’s what brought them together in the first place. She even referred to James as her best friend.

“We are still speaking occasionally. We are still friendly with one another. We still follow each other on Instagram and like each others’ posts,” Raquel Leviss said. “My goal would be to maintain a friendship with him because he was my best friend for so long and it’s really difficult to just cut that off and pretend it never happen. Because it did happen.”

She misses spending so much time with James. The couple was inseparable. Raquel feels that he was the “love of my life at one point.” But what’s more important to her these days is his friendship. The former pair will continue to focus on their friendship.

When it comes to her dream guy, Raquel says she wants someone who’s kind and respectful. A sense of humor is also important to her. She’s hoping to find someone who gets along with her family and is emotionally available. She also wants someone who sweeps her off her feet and aspires her to do better.

James Kennedy confirms he still speaks to Raquel

James made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with his co-star Lala Kent. He shared where they stand since their split. Host Andy Cohen asked him when he last spoke to Raquel. James responded, “yesterday, me and Raquel were talking on the phone still, you know, Raquel and I still remain friends after the breakup.”

James also moved out of the apartment they once shared. He said that he’s living in a new place in Los Angeles. The former couple adopted their beloved dog Graham Cracker. In late December, Raquel admitted on Instagram that she missed him. During WWHL, James said that she ended up with the dog. But he hopes to see little Graham Cracker when he visits in February.

Andy also asked James if he would date Lala Kent. He admitted that he “wouldn’t rule anything out.” He’s open to the idea. However, Lala doesn’t think he would make a good stepdad.
