Is James Kennedy Open To Dating Lala Kent?
James Kennedy and Lala Kent made an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live. It didn’t take long for host Andy Cohen to tease a possible love connection between them. Both Vanderpump Rules stars are newly single. In mid-October, Lala ended her engagement with Randall Emmett. She left the Hollywood producer with their nine-month-old daughter, Ocean Emmett, amid the cheating rumors.
Meanwhile, James ended his engagement with Raquel Leviss in December 2021. Their split took place while filming the Season 9 reunion. Fans know that Lala and James have history. They had a drunken hook-up in the past. But is there something more between them?
James Kennedy is open to whatever happens
Andy Cohen made several references to James and Lala dating during the show. He kicked off the show by asking them if they would ever date each other. James admitted that he wouldn’t rule out the possibility of dating the former model. Both of them went through a public breakup, leading fans to wonder if they’ll date in Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules.
“Look, I never say never to anything nowadays,” James Kennedy said. “Honestly, after everything I have been through, I never say never to anything so yeah.”
His VPR co-star seemed to agree with them. Lala complimented him on his response. But she doesn’t think that James is “ready to be a stepdad.” She revealed that “so much has changed since we got together.”
However, she considers James “one of my best friends.” If they were to date, it could ruin their friendship. James claims that he grew up since their drunken years. He would just like to continue their beautiful friendship and see it grow.
Fans have been holding out hope for Lala and James to date next. They think the two co-stars are perfect for one another. However, Lala admitted that she’s not ready to date yet. She’s only talked to a few guys.
Lala Kent is not ready to date yet
Later on, in the show, Andy asked Lala if she’s dating. She revealed that she’s talked to a few guys. Yet, she doesn’t feel right about going on a date with a random guy. At this point in her life, she’s focused on being a single mom.
Lala and Randall only speak through an app. She’ll reach out to him when it concerns their daughter. Otherwise, she has no interest in talking to him. Lala talked about her book and answered whether a second one was coming.
“Yeah, I’ve already started writing the second book,” Lala said. “So I’m really excited.”

Andy asked if they would ever collaborate on a breakup song. Lala and James said they would be down for that. Lala admitted that being in the recording studio with James is “freeing.” At least fans will get another music collaboration out of them.
