‘The Bachelorette’ Which One Of Tayshia’s Final Four Blew It During Hometowns?
The Bachelorette’s Tayshia Adams had to face the exciting and nerve-wracking tasks of meeting her final four’s families last night. She was excited to learn more about Ben, Brendan, Ivan, and Zac. However, this year’s hometown dates looked a little different. Classic Covid.
Covid affects everything
This year due to Covid, all of the hometowns were not held in their actual towns. But, rather they were moved to the La Quinta Resort, just like everything else! The four men had to put together dates that represented their hometowns through their local cuisine and activities, all while showing Tayshia a glimpse of what real life would be like with them.
Overall, the Bachelorette did its best to fly in loved ones to California, requiring them to quarantine and get tested for the virus.
The Hometown Dates
According to People, the Bachelorette got to travel to Brendan’s small Massachusetts hometown first. The two experienced a town fair and played carnival games with his niece, Aliyah. Spending time with Aliyah really opened up Tayshia’s eyes to what a wonderful family man Brendan would be someday.
Now, Zac’s date came second. He took the Bachelorette beauty on a journey to New York City. They practiced hailing cabs, had bagels and coffee, and enjoyed some New York City pizza! The date could not end without a trip to Central Park of course! They wrapped things up by hopping into the foundation where they made a wish together on the very first night.
Third, came Ivan’s date. This time around Tayshia got a taste of his Filipino culture. The duo cooked a Filipino dish under the virtual guidance of his 4-year-old niece’s demonstration video. The pair went on to say they have a very natural connection, and The Bachelorette really feels like she can be herself around him.
Finally, last up to the date plate was Ben. While he is originally from Indiana, he chose to show The Bachelorette his current hometown of Venice Beach. They roller skated, did some outdoor shopping, stopped at a juice bar, and hit up the pool.
Ben’s family time
After the Venice Beach date, it was time for Tayshia to meet the family. She was able to meet Ben’s close family friend and his sister. His family really noticed how much he was smitten with The Bachelorette. He even revealed he had “the strongest feelings I’ve ever had for a person for her.” But he was scared to say “I love you.”
Tayshia flat out asked Ben how he felt at the end of the night, but he froze. He could not muster up the courage to reveal his true feelings to her.
The rose ceremony
At the rose ceremony, Ben’s fears came true. He revealed to Chris Harrison beforehand that he really does love Tayshia. But, Ben once again shut down on The Bachelorette and he could not bring himself to share his true feelings. He just got in the car and left.
However, in the car, Ben realized his mistake. He ended his time on the show saying, “Maybe she loved me and she thought I didn’t love her back. And if that’s the case, I f—ing blew it,” he said.
