The comedian finally shared some good news with fans earlier this week when she went Instagram official with her new man. She’s dating someone who isn’t famous at all. But her happy news was short-lived. She returned to social media days later with the news that she had been in the hospital.
Kathy Griffin downplayed the seriousness of the situation with her usual sense of humor. She posted a brief message on Instagram revealing that she initially made a video but screwed up the audio. “Well, the sound got screwed up, but I made this video for you guys because I’m TMI anyway,” she wrote.
The note revealed that she had spent the night in the hospital after unexpected complications from a colonoscopy. “I know, I know very sexy, but I am home now with the doggies where I belong,” she added.

The surgery to remove part of her lung resulted in a complications to her vocal cords. Her left vocal cord was paralyzed. She underwent several procedures to correct the problem.
