‘The View’ Hosts Slam Conservative’s ‘Reckless’ Parenting Advice
The View hosts spend a lot of time during the “Hot Topics” segment calling out President Trump for various infractions. But they found a new target: A conservative speaker at The Conservative Political Action Conference, aka CPAC. The talk show hosts slammed the “reckless” parenting advice given in a speech at the event.
The View Hosts Slam Conservative’s ‘Reckless’ Parenting Advice
CPAC is an annual political conference attended by conservative politicians and activists. The 2026 conference had a mix of speakers, including political leaders such as Senator Ted Cruz and conservative social media influencers. One influencer gave a rousing speech encouraging conservative women to have large families.

A huge talking point of the Republicans in the last few years is the importance of having children. The encouragement to reproduce comes amid more people putting off having kids than ever before. Vice President JD Vance and his wife are expecting their fourth child. But they can afford it.
Conservative social media influencer Isabel Brown believes that conservative women should have multiple children, whether they can afford it or not. “If you’re not encouraging your children to grow up and have the courage to get married and have kids — more kids than they can afford before they think they’re ready — it is high time to start,” she said.
Whoopi Goldberg brought the speech up during this week’s “Hot Topics.” She was aghast at the suggestion that people have more kids than they can afford. Sunny Hostin called the advice “reckless.”

“I think it’s really reckless to be suggesting that people should have more children when you now know in this country there’s this affordability crisis, and for a two-person household, a married household, you need over $400,000 for childcare. Over $400,000. Most people don’t make over $400,000,” Sunny Hostin said.
Listen to what she’s encouraging. She’s saying, ‘Don’t have any thought about what you’re doing.’ Yes, be thoughtful before you have a kid!” Whoopi Goldberg added.
Isabel Brown Retaliates, Calls Hosts ‘Godless’
Isabel Brown didn’t take kindly to The View hosts calling out her speech. She shared a statement with Entertainment Weekly, blasting the hosts as “godless.”
“I’m truly sad for the hate and contempt The View shows toward one of the most beautiful things about womanhood. Their godless, anti-human propaganda is heartbreaking, but in today’s society, sadly not shocking. They shriek like demons at the simple, joyful, timeless truth that young women should want to get married and have babies. Family is the greatest threat to their ideology, and they know it.”
Most of the hosts of The View have children. They weren’t against parenthood. However, they felt it was irresponsible to have more children than they can afford, putting them in poverty from birth. Share your thoughts in the comments.
