Insiders Share Who Was Last To See Savannah Guthrie’s Mother Alive
News has come out that Today host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, recently went missing from her Arizona home. Recently, various sources have been sharing information, including from insiders and local authorities. However, sources have been offering slightly different details as they try to piece the story together.
Savannah Guthrie Previously Shared A Contact Number For Those With Leads With Today
Savannah’s mother, Nancy, had last been seen outside of her home on Saturday, January 31st, 2026. At the time, it was noticed that she had stopped posting on social media a few days beforehand. News broke out on Sunday that Nancy was missing after a concerned family member reportedly issued a 911 call to officials.
Recently on Today, Savannah, who just returned to the show following vocal cord surgery, sent a message where she shared the hope that her mother would be found. She also shared a contact number for anyone with information.

With authorities getting involved in the case, the story has become both a criminal investigation and a search mission. Recently, insiders have been sharing information on the story with various outlets.
Roger Friedman is an American journalist who previously wrote Fox News’ FOX411 news column. He currently writes for the entertainment news blog, Showbiz411. In a recent post, he shared a few updates concerning the case surrounding Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy.
Writing that he was getting updates from Tucson, Arizona, Friedman noted, “There are at least 15 PCSD deputies now working on the case with the FBI in Pima County.”
According to Friedman, the last person known to have seen Nancy alive was her son-in-law, identified as Savannah’s brother-in-law, on Saturday night. It was noted that he wasn’t a suspect in the case and that he was checking in on her.
A Pima County Sheriff Shared A Slightly Different Account Compared To The Insiders
During the share, Friedman also wrote, “Again, everyone prays if this was a kidnapping, the idiots who did it return Nancy in 100% shape. This is frightening for anyone who has an older family member who lives alone.”
However, speaking with Us Weekly, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos claimed that it was Savannah’s sister, Annie, who was the last person to see her mother prior to Nancy’s reported disappearance. Nanos shared, “We have a start point. The family took her home from dinner at about 9:30 to 9:45 [p.m.]” on Saturday, January 31.

As noted by the outlet, Nanos noted that Annie didn’t appear to raise any “red flags” about Nancy’s behavior during their last encounter. During a press conference, the sheriff also assured, “We’ve pretty much just thrown everything at this that we can.”
