However, one of the co-hosts in particular, Sara Haines, recently got fans talking with her comments on the show. Since then, commenters have been sharing their reaction on social media.

Sara Haines Has Been A Permanent Part Of The View Since The 20th Season

Haines, an Iowa native, has worked for a variety of networks throughout her career. These include ABC News, Today, and Good Morning America.

However, many know Haines best as a co-host on The View for ABC. Originally a guest co-host, she became a permanent addition to the show during its 20th season.

Through her role on the show, Haines has often weighed in on various current events. During a recent episode of the show, the panel discussed the ongoing House Oversight Committee investigation concerning the late Jeffrey Epstein. This also concerned subpoenas for testimony from former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

This committee issued subpoenas in August 2025 as part of a broader inquiry into Epstein’s networks. Both Clintons have declined to appear at this time. Bill subpoenaed to appear on January 13, 2026, with Hillary on the following day. However, neither showed up.

During the episode of The View, Joy Behar noted that Clinton appeared in photos with Epstein. However, he denied prior knowledge or involvement with criminal conduct. Behar then asked the other panelists if they think Clinton should testify “just to clear up any suspicions and get the last word on this.”

Fans Shared Their Reactions To Haines’ Comments On Social Media

As the conversation went on, Haines shared, “As someone who wants to see everything in the Epstein files… I think the Clintons should show up.”

Haines continued, “It was a unanimous vote to subpoena them… I think when people don’t show up, it makes people look guiltier than they are.”

Taking to social media, many were critical of Haines’ comments, especially as the episode was uploaded on The View‘s YouTube page. A few felt that the situation was complicated, with the Clintons having agreed to testify under certain circumstances. Some comments included:

  • “Can Sara be more naive… Why should the Clintons appear when no one else has been forced to appear.”
  • “[Sara,] the Clinton’s said they would testify IF THE MEETING IS PUBLIC, NOT PRIVATE.”
  • “With all due respect you speak of what you do not know. You’re young, w a solid, sheltered, loving, unchallenged upbringing. God bless you for your deserved good life and naive opinions of how life and politics should work. Listen up to your elders on the panel.”
  • “Hey Sara. The Clinton’s want to testify. They want it to be a public hearing not stuck behind closed doors.”
