ABC Talk Show Viewers Slam Hypocritical Segment
Like many talk shows, The View needs to make money to keep it on the air. The daytime show features the VYD (View Your Deal) segment where viewers can purchase products promoted on the show for a discount. The segment is controversial with viewers. Some compare it it a rip-off of QVC.
One viewer took to social media with a valid complaint about the segment. “They talk about “affordability” & how we can’t afford groceries, healthcare, etc. Yet they try to shove VYD 3x a week,” the fan wrote.
The hosts of The View often blast President Trump’s economy. The President recently called the talk about rising costs as an “affordability scam” by the Democrats.
Another fan shared their thoughts on the VYD segment. “Its blatant hypocrisy. The show is quite literally millionaires b****ing about other millionaires and affordability. This idea that they have any idea what a normal american who actually struggles go through is insane,” they wrote.
A third fan vented specifically about one host, “I’m more annoyed with Whoopi trying to act like “we are all in this together”. Whoopi, your day to day struggles are not the same as the majority of us.”
The View Hosts Embrace Holidays With Festive Outfits
The View hosts celebrated the holiday season with a special themed episode on Friday, December 19. It will be the last “live” episode of the talk show until early January. The hosts -Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin – entered the New York City studio in fun, festive outfits.
Joy Behar and Ana Navarro wore festive red outfits. Ana completed her look with red bows in her hair while the other ladies donned festive headbands.
However, fans ripped Sunny Hostin for her interesting outfit.

Sunny Hostin opted for an all-silver outfit that resembled a silver Christmas ornament. One fan took to social media to call out the strange holiday attire. They shared a collage of the host’s out-of-this-world outfit and compared it to something Amanda wrote on the ABC show Ugly Betty. “I’m not judging. Just reminded me of Amanda from Ugly Betty,” they wrote.
