Devastating Tragedy Strikes ‘Young & Restless’ Star, Begs Fans For Help
An actor known for appearing on The Young and the Restless recently reported that a tragedy had impacted their family. Explaining the situation on social media, the star also asked for help. In another update, a scammer had also tried to use the tragedy for their own financial benefit.
The Actor Shared What Fans Could Do To Help On Social Media, While Offering A Word Of Caution
The actor, known for their appearances in a variety of soaps, shared the story during an Instagram Story. At the time, they recounted what had happened to some of their loved ones, how fans can help, and what to be wary of.
At the time, fans also noted that the story was ironic for another reason. In particular, it brought to mind something that had happened to the actor’s own character during recent events on the soap.
Taking to social media, actor Lucas Adams shared a devastating story concerning his sister during an Instagram Story. As shared by Soap Opera Digest, he explained that his sister, Audrie Farris, was seriously hurt when she and her husband were hit while on the road by another vehicle.
Adams shared, “My sister was hit head-on by a drunk driver over the weekend. Thankfully, she is going to be okay, but has a long road ahead of her as her hip and foot were broken. Her and her husband Josh have eight kids and could use all the help they can get to get through this. I’m sharing her Venmo, if you can or would like to support them, I know they would very much appreciate it.”
Fans Noted That The Tragedy Paralleled Lucas Adams’ Recent Storyline On The Young And The Restless
As the actor noted, a scammer soon took advantage of the situation. They had reportedly created a fake Venmo account with a different spelling to trick people into sending them money. He added, “Sadly, someone is trying to exploit the situation and created a fake account.” Sharing the actual QR code, he added, “If you are planning to donate, please be sure to choose ‘audriefarris’ all lowercase with one ‘s.’”
Adams previously became known to soap fans after appearing on Days of Our Lives. He appeared on the soap from 2017 to 2024.

Earlier this month, Adams joined the cast of The Young and the Restless. He stepped into the role of Noah Newman, who was previously played by other actors. This includes Rory Gibson and Kevin Schmidt, among others.
Many fans noted that the story paralleled Adams’ alter ego on The Young and the Restless. Noah was seen recovering from a vehicular crash in recent episodes. This story greatly impacted Noah’s parents, Nick and Sharon, played by Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case.
