The View returned for Season 29 in September, but fans worry it won’t be around for its milestone 30th season. Rumors continue that the show is on the brink of cancellation. Viewers agree that the show needs to make some big changes before it gets yanked off the air. Some fans believe one host is “dangerous” and needs to go.

Which host are fans calling “harmful” to the show?

The View Hosts Told To ‘Sit Out’ Serious Topic

Unless it’s Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension, The View co-hosts dive into a discussion about Hot Topics every morning. Viewers were shocked and disappointed when they didn’t address what happened to Jimmy Kimmel until days later.

His late-night talk show was taken off the air after he made controversial comments about right-wing podcaster Charlie Kirk’s murder. Many fans felt The View hosts stayed silent to save their own jobs.

Now that Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air, the hosts are back to pushing the boundaries with their opinions on current events. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recently announced changes coming to the military, including fitness requirements for all members.

The View host slammed the move as “body-shaming.” Fox News host Tomi Lahren advised the ladies to “sit that one out” and leave it to the “professionals.”

Fans Call Host ‘Dangerous’ & ‘Harmful,’ Want Her Out

Some fans of The View think one host in particular should sit out every discussion by leaving the show entirely. The host was called “dangerous” and “harmful” for being wishy-washy with her opinions.

Sara Haines first joined The View in 2016. She briefly left to host GMA but returned in 2020. While most of the co-hosts identify as Democrats, she identifies as an Independent and left-leaning moderate.

Due to the current political climate, one fan vented on social media about how Sara Haines’ stance is “dangerous.”

“Demanding niceness for the sake of looking or feeling “good” is harmful. Hope she does the internal work to clarify her position, because her stance is becoming dangerous,” they wrote.

Other fans agreed. Check out some of the comments about The View co-host:

  • “She’s the kind of person that will tell a kid to just be friendlier to their bully.”
  • “I think she’s terribly out of touch and quite frankly I usually just ignore her now.”
  • “I use to align with her a lot too, but lately she’s been super tone deaf.”
  • “Im just not certain where she landed and I’m not sure she is either most days.”
  • “She came across as nasty and performative. She should just say what she feels and drop the “I’m in the middle, I’m a sweet Mid-Westerner”, it’s not tracking.”

Sara Haines grew up in Newton, Iowa.

ABC hasn’t revealed yet if they plan to change the co-hosts on The View for Season 30. Let us know in the comments who you think should stay and who should go.
