‘Y&R’ Fans Think Mark Grossman Is Leaving As Adam
Fans have seen Adam Newman wear a number of faces on The Young and the Restless. Recently, actor Mark Grossman has been bringing the character to life. However, the actor has recently become the subject of rumors claiming he might soon be leaving the soap. This also comes out as the actor himself made a recent share on social media.
Mark Grossman Stepped Into The Role Of Adam Newman Back In 2019
Grossman first became known to soap fans playing Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless. He first joined the soap in 2019.
The character, the son of Victor Newman and Hope Wilson, had been played by a number of actors over the years. Before Grossman took on the role, Chris Engen, Michael Muhney, and Justin Hartley played the character.
As noted by Coming Soon, a rumor had circulated online, claiming that Grossman might soon be making his exit from The Young and the Restless. One post sharing the story even included what appeared to be Grossman crying with the word “Fired” written next to him.
Fans at the time had some suspicions over the story, noting the image appeared to be AI, though it could have been made to promote the story. In addition, others also wondered if there were follow-up stories explaining the situation more in-depth.
However, the publication felt, the rumors concerning Grossman leaving the show “are not true.” As the publication noted, neither Grossman himself nor The Young and the Restless‘ showrunners have confirmed the story.

In fact, the actor himself actually teased what’s planned for the character in upcoming stories. Taking to Instagram Stories. In the scene, Adam was at Neil’s jazz lounge. He had a wide-eyed, yet knowing, look, and a split lip. Fans were left to guess what the scene could mean without context.
Currently on the soap, Adam has attempted to become a better person after reuniting with his ex-wife, Chelsea. However, there are still fans that want Adam to return to his more ruthless roots.
Grossman’s recent tease suggests that the character will get into a fight, possibly suggesting the character could be going to darker places. On the other hand, he could be using what is happening to spin a story. Ultimately, however, fans will have to stay tuned in to The Young and the Restless to see what happens next in Genoa City.
