Texas Woman In Wheelchair Killed In Hit-And-Run
A woman in Texas was recently struck and killed in Pleasant Grove. A damaged wheelchair was found near the woman in what police believe was a hit-and-run. On social media, many commenters shared that they saw the woman prior to the incident.
One Witness Described The Vehicle As An ’18-Wheeler’
Dallas police responded to a call at 5600 South Buckner Boulevard at around 1:10 AT local time this past Wednesday. A woman was found by the service road.
The victim was found dead on the scene. A damaged wheelchair was also found near the woman.

Police believe that the woman was a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle, later dying from the incident. The vehicle’s driver is also believed to have left the scene before police officers arrived.
At this time, no arrests have been made in the case. The victim’s name also hasn’t been released. At this time, police are believed to still be investigating what had happened.
A news report from Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth also described the vehicle involved as a “commercial vehicle” and a “truck.” It was also noted that a witness described it as a possible “18-wheeler.”
On Social Media, Some Claimed To Have Seen The Woman Prior To The Incident
The victim was also described as being around 50 years old. It was noted that she was likely struck while trying to use the service road.
Authorities were reportedly hoping that local businesses could help with the investigation. Officers will study local surveillance footage to see if any camera recorded what had happened.

On social media, there had been some speculation that the victim was homeless. A commenter claimed to have seen the woman prior to the incident. As they wrote, “I saw her by that Walmart yesterday. She was in what seemed like a hospital wheelchair.”
Another commenter also claimed, “This is so sad I saw her yesterday she was such a sweet lady I gave her $10 yesterday and I have bought her food so many times she was always getting used and abused by the homeless men in that area.” The commenter also noted, “She was such a sweet lady.”
