‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Jeremy Defends Not Telling Bailey The Truth
A lot of the drama on Season 10 of Bachelor In Paradise revolved around who did and who didn’t know about Jeremy Simon’s desperate phone call to Susie Evans. His partner, Bailey Brown, definitely didn’t know. At least until Brian Autz broke “bro code” and spilled the beans.
Susie, Brian, and Bailey have all shared their thoughts on the drama. Jeremy Simon admitted in a social media post recently that he was regretful for his behavior. He expanded on what led up to him calling Susie and the true reason he blamed it all on Brian Autz. Keep reading for the latest on the drama.
Jeremy Simon Admits Feeling ‘Betrayed’ Before Calling Susie Evans
Bachelor Season 28 star Bailey Brown and Bachelorette Season 21 alum Jeremy Simon made a quick connection on Season 10 of Bachelor In Paradise. But when given the chance, she went on a date with Andrew Spencer. As much as she enjoyed the date, Bailey chose to stick with Jeremy.

Jeremy, in turn, accepted a date with Susie Evans after Bailey went on a date with Andrew. Jeremy seemed to choose Bailey by giving her a rose at the next rose ceremony despite his date with Susie. But he later expressed regret over not pursuing things with Susie. While Bailey and Andrew were on a date, Jeremy called Susie to ask her to consider returning.
She said no, but he never informed Bailey about the phone call. Jeremy was a guest on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast this week. He shared more insight on why he called Susie in the first place.
“I feel betrayed, I had a tough time deciding who to give the rose to, let’s call Susie. And by the way, obviously Susie said no. If she had said yes, I don’t even know what I would do. I feel like I really wasn’t thinking… It was in the heat of the moment,” the Bachelor In Paradise star said.
Jeremy added, “Obviously I don’t like to live with regrets. I wish I handled it a bit differently.”
He Explains Why He Was So Mad At Brian Autz
In his chat on the podcast, Jeremy defended his behavior, despite regretting it. He said, “The whole timeline between the Susie phone call through those comments, it took place over three days. And we were filming for over three and a half weeks.”

He also put a lot of blame on Brian Autz. “The truth is, I was having thoughts of telling Bailey. I wish I could’ve told her the day before. But the day before was our one-on-one date and a competition,” Jeremy explained about his delay in telling Bailey about the phone call to Susie.
He continued, “The reason why I was pissed at Brian was because I feel like that opportunity was taken away from me. Sure, I technically had a few days of opportunity. I just felt like because it’s mine and Bailey’s relationship, I should be able to tell her when I feel like it’s the right time to tell her.”
The phone call to Susie was just a bump in the road for Jeremy and Bailey. All signs point to them still being together even after the shocking truth came out.
Do you think Jeremy eventually would have told Bailey or is he just using that as an excuse for his behavior? Sound off in the comments.
