Erin Napier Reacts To Divorce Rumors
Ben and Erin Napier met in college in 2004. They married in 2008 after dating for several years. According to PEOPLE magazine, the couple gained small-town fame after renovating a 1925 cottage. Their fame eventually attracted the attention of HGTV. The couple’s renovation show, Home Town, premiered in 2016, and remains one of the network’s most popular shows.
As public figures, Ben and Erin Napier are often the subject of rumors. One recent rumor suggested that the couple was divorcing after seventeen years of marriage. Erin Napier took to Instagram to address the speculation.
“Can’t believe I even have to say this but NO, the click bait articles that we are splitting up are not real, y’all,” she wrote. She added that the articles about the rumors are “AI generated.”
“Y’all are smarter than this,” she told her followers.

She Shares Controversial Thoughts On Vacationing In The UK
The Napiers have two children together. They welcomed Helen in 2018, followed by Mae in 2021. The family recently took a trip to Europe to explore Ben Napier’s Scottish ancestry. While he was born in Mississippi, his family heritage traces back to Scotland.
Erin Napier documented the trip on social media. After the family returned to the U.S., she reflected on the trip overseas. She compared the differences she found in the two countries.
“Thoughts after international travel,” she shared.
- “can you die from jet lag?
- is there a reason they don’t have ranch in the UK?
- i wish our drink bottles had those flip tops.
- AC is really great, and very special.
- i wish we had no dyes in our food like the UK.
- but i wish their laundry soap worked better.
- i like our toilets that flush reliably.”

Many U.S. residents who visit Europe in the summer are surprised to find out that most European countries don’t have AC.
Fans Divided Over Her Remarks
Erin Napier’s post received hundreds of comments, many of which were reactions to her comparison between the two countries.
One U.S. resident pointed out some of the things that the UK has compared to the U.S. “I wish we had universal healthcare, paid family leave, free period products, strong unions, abortion rights, anti-fascist leaders and so much more that Scotland has, that we don’t. It’s almost as if their government cares about its people there.”
But other followers thought the U.S. was superior to the UK. One fan pointed out, “Getting a big glass of water with ice without having to pay for said water is a nice treat the US has.” Another added, “We are light-years ahead of Europe in appliances and plumbing.”
One follower suggested that Erin Napier should embrace the differences. They wrote, “As they say” if you want everything to be the same as at home, stay home!” Otherwise enjoy the differences in our world!”
