Kelly Ripa Is Rare Celebrity Who Hasn’t Gotten Breast Implants
Kelly Ripa has been in the entertainment industry since she was in her 20s. One of her first roles was as Hayley Vaughan on the ABC soap All My Children. That’s actually where she met her future husband. Mark Consuelos joined the daytime drama in 1995 as Hayley’s love interest, Mateo Santos.
The real-life couple eloped a year after meeting on the soap. They now co-host the Live With Kelly and Mark morning show. Despite her decades in entertainment, Kelly Ripa has never had breast augmentation surgery like so many other women. Even Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe recently got a boob job after years of touting her itty bitties.
She Admits Seeking Multiple Boob Job Consultations
Kelly Ripa has been open about trying Botox to minimize facial wrinkles. She’s also had the injections in her armpits to reduce sweating. So, she’s clearly not against plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures.
The Live host was on the other side of the interview earlier this week on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. The topic turned to the size of her breasts. The host of the podcast, Amanda Hirsch, asked if Kelly Ripa ever felt insecure about her breast size or considered implants.
Kelly Ripa confessed that she has considered it, many times. “I’ve gone to more breast augmentation consults than I would like to admit. Like, every time I hear about the new boob guy, I go and I have a consult,” she admitted.
She said that the surgeons say and do “all the right things” to convince her, but something stops her every time.
Why She’ll Never Get The Surgery
Many cell phone users believe that their phone listens to their conversations and sends them ads tailored to certain discussions. Kelly Ripa has experienced this, including when she’s at consultations with breast surgeons. She said that ads always pop up about boob jobs after the appointments, but so do horror stories about breast implants.
The horror stories are part of the reason why she hasn’t done it yet. Another reason is that breast implants require maintenance every ten years or so.
“All of my friends — or a majority of my friends — have had breast augmentation. And they’ve had multiple because, like, every ten years or so, you have to, like, swap them out,” Kelly Ripa said.
She continued, “So let’s say I get them at 55. Right? That means at 65, I have to swap them out. At 75, I’m on my second pair? Let’s say I live to 85, I’m going under the knife again?“
What does her husband think? She revealed that her husband is “fine” with the size of her breasts.
