Television personality Bobby Berk will be hosting a new show on HGTV. It’s also been announced that another big name will be helping Berk bring the show to life. However, this news also comes out as quite a few shows have recently met their end on HGTV.

Bobby Berk Is Also Known For Serving As The Interior Design Expert On Netflix’s Queer Eye

Berk is known for his work as an interior designer. He launched his online store, Bobby Berk Home, in 2006, later launching Bobby Berk Interiors + Design.

In 2018, Berk joined the Netflix reality series Queer Eye as the interior design expert. Since then, Berk has established himself as a television personality, such as competing in the sixth season of The Masked Singer.

According to TV Insider, Berk will soon have a new show to add to his resume. He will be joining the HGTV family.

Berk will host a show currently known as Junk or Jackpot?, though this is said to be a working title. The series is currently set to run six episodes that will follow Berk as he helps collectors uncover the worth of various possessions.

At this time, another big name is also attached to the project. John Cena will also serve as an executive producer.

A description for the show reads, “From an overwhelming stash of superhero figurines to cramped spaces stuffed with rare puppets and dolls and miniature sets that leave no room for actual, life-size furniture. These homes are begging for professional help. And the collectors must decide whether they are willing to sell some of their items to pay for the much-needed renovation.”

John Cena Has Also Released A Statement Concerning The Upcoming News

The statement continued, “With a combination of humor, compassion and a celebration of the passionate collector in all of us, Bobby will support the homeowners through the process of sorting through, appraising and letting go of their stockpile.” This is just the start of Berk’s mission. He will also help people discover “the ‘found money’ along the way to achieving their dream makeover.”

In a press release, Berk had shared that collecting is a “personal pastime that brings joy and inspiration.” However, he also acknowledged that it is “easy to get carried away, which can negatively impact your living conditions.” Through the show, Berk hopes to give people “reimagined spaces that will best honor what they hold dear.”

Cena also released a statement concerning the upcoming show. As he revealed, “The idea for Junk or Jackpot? was born out of a conversation I had with friends. People often wonder if their collections are trash or treasure, and this show will help them find out.”

The news also comes out as HGTV fans have recently seen quite a few shows on the network get the axe. Last month, it was announced that Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, Izzy Does It, and Farmhouse Fixer. It was also announced earlier this month that Battle on the Beach would be ending after four seasons.
