Great American Family has announced Great American Christmas In July. This is the kickoff to the 5th Anniversary celebration of Great American Christmas. This means some holiday romcoms starring Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison, Danica McKellar, and more.

Great American Family Announces Great American Christmas In July
On Wednesday, Great American Family announced Great American Christmas In July 2025. Promising “more joy, more holiday magic,” this annual event will kick off on Friday, June 27, at 6 p.m., Eastern. Moreover, this is the “perfect prelude” to the countdown to the 5th anniversary of Great American Christmas. This will premiere in October. However, the network has not yet revealed that premiere date.
The network is celebrating 100 original holiday movies in four years. These are the movies that will be featured during Great American Christmas In July. President and CEO of the network, Bill Abbott, is proud to announce the premiere of the event. “Great American Christmas In July is more than a mid-year tradition––it is a joyful celebration of what our viewers love: stories that uplift, inspire, and bring families together.”
This year, it also marks the beginning of the countdown to something truly special–the 5th Anniversary of Great American Christmas, which returns bigger and brighter than ever this October.
Best of all, there will be weekly marathons with some fan-favorite stars like Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison, Trevor Donovan, Danica McKellar, and more. Here are some of the details.
Here Are The Great American Christmas In July Marathons
This year, Great American Family is offering a cornucopia of weekly marathons. Here are the six different marathons and the weeks that they start.
Starting on Saturday, June 28 is A Royal Christmas Affair. There is nothing like tiaras and elegant royal balls over the Christmas holidays. The dashing and beautiful single royals falling in love with a normal is a favorite trope.
Some of the movies featured this week include Jingle Bell Princess, A Christmas Castle Proposal, and A Christmas Cinderella Ball.
Next, starting Saturday, July 5 is a “celebration of grace and joy.” This is to honor the actresses that “bring heart, hope and holiday character. These actresses include so many favorites including Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Danica McKellar, and more.
Starting on Saturday, July 12 is the third marathon called “Heart, honor, and holiday love.” This honors the actors “who bring strength, sincerity, and timeless charm” to these holiday movies. These actors include Trevor Donovan, Daniel Lissing, Mario Lopez, Cameron Mathison.
On Saturday, July 19, Great American Family starts the Ultimate Christmas Checklist. These movies include the favorite tropes of returning to a small town, deck the halls together as a community, and cut down a real Christmas tree. The movies in this list include A Little Women’s Christmas, A Vintage Christmas, and Once Upon A Christmas Wish.
Lastly, on Saturday, July 26 stars the Fan-Favorite Christmas movies. These are based on viewer rankings. All of these movies are available to track on the Official Great American Family Christmas Checklist.
