Kelly Clarkson Has Staff Worried For Their Jobs Amid Show Shakeup
American Idol winner and former The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson has her talk show staff worried for their jobs. She has been accused of having a bad work environment, but many of the claims have been disputed. So, why are they fearing that they will be out of work? Keep reading for more details.
Kelly Clarkson Has Staff Worried For Their Jobs
When Kelly Clarkson moved her hit talk show to New York City from California, it was a big deal. Yet, her staff as well as her two kids have adapted extremely well, and Kelly is thriving in her new space. She lost weight, found a new sense of happiness, and still has time to do her music. Unfortunately, she has been called out for having a toxic work environment, but that was eventually dismissed. Now, her staff has a new issue, and that is Kelly not wanting to do the show much longer.
Although Kelly has found immense success as a talk show host, but took time off at the beginning of the year. She had to deal with a personal matter, which left other people hosting in her spot. Her staff is speaking up about their fears that she could end up ditching the show altogether:
“Not feeling too stable. She could bolt at any time. Where does that leave me?”
These concerns are completely valid as the staff wants to know that they will have a job for the foreseeable future. However, that may not be the case if Kelly is in flight mode.

It has been stated that the staff loves Kelly Clarkson and only wants the best for her. They can also understand if she wants to step away if she is no longer happy with the talk show:
“She should move on.”
There have been rumors that former Today Show host Hoda Kotb could be taking over for Kelly if she opts to exit. So, how does that make the staff feel about that?
Kelly Out, Hoda In?
With the possibility of Kelly Clarkson leaving her talk show, this could mean a replacement needs to be found. One person who has been brought up as a potential candidate is Hoda Kotb. She announced her Today Show departure at the end of 2024 and exited in early 2025. Viewers have long missed seeing her on television, but how does the Kelly staff feel about her coming in? A producer for Kelly’s talk show had this to say:
“Maybe Hoda would be a better boss. I know she’s universally beloved and respected by her former coworkers. Maybe she would be good. She sure would be a lot more stable than what we’ve been going through. If Hoda wants to do it, it could be win-win for everyone.”
So, it would clearly be a good fit, but it is unclear if Kelly really wants to say goodbye. Her focus is on her two children and their well-being. However, her contract runs through 2026, so the staff should feel reassured for at least one more season.
