Finally The Real Reason Kelly Clarkson Was Missing Revealed

For a few years now, Kelly Clarkson has made a name for herself as a talk show host through her own namesake series. However, Clarkson has been taking quite a few breaks from the show as of late. Since then, the reason behind her absences has come to light, with an insider weighing in on the issue.
Fans Were Starting To Get Worried For Kelly Clarkson
For many, Kelly Clarkson’s biggest claim to fame is being the winner of the first season of American Idol. After this helped launch her into a successful career in music, Clarkson has also branched out into other careers.
Since 2019, Clarkson has been the host of her own talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. Proving popular, the show has earned multiple Daytime Emmy Awards over the years, including for Outstanding Talk Show Host.

However, fans have recently noted that Clarkson was been absent from the show quite a bit over the pasts few months. Back in March, she had been absent from ten episodes. She also missed a few episodes the following month.
As noted by NewsNation, Clarkson previously cited “personal reasons” after returning following missing two weeks in March. However, there wasn’t much of an explanation beyond that. Fans have since been wondering on just what has been going on behind-the-scenes.
Things Have Not Been Easy Between The Former Couple
Recently, an inside source told the publication, ”Her ex-husband is sick and she took the kids to see him.” Clarkson had been married to Brandon Blackstock from 2013 to 2022, with the two sharing two children together.
The former couple had undergone a lengthy divorce battle, which was further complicated for business reasons. Blackstock had been Clarkson’s manager and her show’s executive producer. However, the source noted, “He is still the children’s father.”

Things haven’t been easy between the two, especially following the divorce. As noted by Entertainment Tonight, Clarkson “retained the couple’s highly contested Montana ranch in the settlement, as well as ownership of the family pets, several cars, including a Ford Bronco, a Ford F-250, and a Porsche Cayenne. She was also ordered to pay Blackstock $1.3 million and contribute $45,000 per month in child support for their two children. Additionally, Blackstock was granted $115,000 per month in spousal support, set to conclude in January 2024.”
One year after the divorce, Clarkson also sued Blackstock for going against California labor laws. At the time, she claimed that he and Starstruck Entertainment went against the Talent Agencies Act by acting like an “unlicensed talent agency.” In 2023, Blackstone was found guilty of improper management and had to pay Clarkson $2,641,374 over past commissions. However, this recent news suggests things have calmed down between the two.
During Clarkson’s absences from the talk show, various figures filled in for her, from Simu Liu to Brooke Shields. While on the show, Liu claimed that he was asked to guest host at the last minute, having been on set to promote an upcoming movie.
