‘Price Is Right’: Drew Carey Reveals One Thing He Hates About Hosting

Price Is Right Drew Carey Shares What He Doesn’t Like About Hosting
Price is Right host Drew Carey is a great asset to the popular game show. Prior to taking over hosting duties for Bob Barker, Drew was an actor. He even had a show named after him, and it was wildly popular. Now, The Drew Carey Show is about to hit a big milestone. The 30th anniversary edition DVD set will be released soon.
Ahead of the DVD release, Carey spoke with Parade. Ahead of the release, he spoke about his hosting duties and one thing he absolutely hates. He even said not many people probably know this little tidbit about him.
While he loves hosting The Price is Right, there is one thing he doesn’t care for. And, it’s not just hosting that it applies to. It even applied during his time acting. Drew said,
“Not a lot of my fans know [that] I don’t like watching myself on TV. I have a real hard time. I’ve sat in the editing room a few times on The Drew Carey Show, and I had to leave. I don’t do it that often because every time I saw it, I was like, ‘That’s what I look like? And that’s [how] I walk?’ I get so tired of seeing myself.”
Drew went on to say that producers on The Price Is Right had to twist his arm to get him to watch himself. They wanted to give some tips on a few things they wanted him to try. They needed him to watch the video so he could really see what they were talking about.
Carey said,
“So I’ve always been like this. I don’t watch The Price Is Right. I don’t watch The Drew Carey Show. Once in a while, I’ll put it on [to] just like see a minute of it, or Whose Line [Is It Anyway?].”
He’s Been Having Fun With Younger Women
Price is Right host Drew Carey has been living his best life. He has never been married and seems to still enjoy his single life. However, he’s just now finally getting back into dating after losing his fiancée three years ago when she tragically died.
It took some time for him to get back out there. However, now, the man who murdered his fiancée has been convicted, and he’s learning to find peace with what happened.
Recently, he was seen partying with younger women at an all-night event. Carey was seen with these women who were much younger than him in Las Vegas. He wasn’t hiding the fact, and they were openly flirtatious with one another.
