‘Price Is Right’ Man Plays Favorite Game, Crowned Biggest Winner In History
As longtime The Price Is Right fans know, the popular game show has a lot of elements left up to chance. However, every once in a while, the stars align, and everything seems to work out in exactly the best way possible. This happened for one man who had incredible luck on his side. So, what happened?
The Price Is Right Has Seen Some Big Winners Over The Years
With as many variables as The Price Is Right has, it can be incredibly difficult for people to put together impressive, winning hauls. However, with as long as the popular game show has been on, there have been some impressive wins as well.
There have been several notable winners who took home over $100k in cash and prizes, and it’s certainly life-changing money for a lot of people. However, there is one particular player that beats them all, claiming the title as the biggest winner in daytime history.
One Game Show Contestant Had Luck On His Side
A The Price Is Right contestant stepped up to the stage wearing a shirt that read: “Plinko Is My Cardio.” In one moment of showing that the stars were about to align in a big way, Michael was, in fact, going to play a game of Plinko. So, right out of the gate, it seemed that synchronicity was on his side.
When it came time to actually play the popular game on The Price Is Right, Michael’s luck seemed to continue in a big way. This particular round of Plinko was a special one, as this player had the chance to win up to $1M in cash. So, there was a lot at stake even before he officially played the game.
Players have to guess whether certain products start with a particular number or end with a particular number. For each one that they get right, they earn a Plinko chip that they get to drop on the board. Wherever the chip lands is how much money they win.
In this particular scenario, the Plinko board was super-sized, with one slot worth $200k. So, one way or another, there was a lot of money up for grabs.
The Price Is Right Player Makes Game Show History
By the time this The Price Is Right player stepped up to the board to drop his chips, he had four chips to drop. On his very first chip, he landed on the $200k prize. So, he was already big in the win column right out of the gate. His second chip landed on $0, while his third chip netted him $1k. On his final chip, he landed on $1k again.
However, when you combine this with all the other prizes he won, including his Showcase Showdown win, he walked away with over $262k in cash and prizes, making him the winningest player in daytime history.
