‘Shark Tank’: Where To Buy Tick Mitt Tick Remover
Shark Tank is set to feature the Tick Mitt, an item especially designed to help customers protect their furry friends from parasites. The item came about from a family endeavor and was inspired by one of the founder’s times with their own beloved dog. Shark Tank has recently promoted the project on social media. Ahead of its debut, the show also shared how fans can purchase the item for themselves.
A Father & Daughter Duo Worked Together To Develop The Tick Mitt
Steve Abrams spent much of his career in the food industry, even serving as the CEO of Magnolia Bakery. After selling the company back in 2021, he decied to pursue other projects.
Abrams thought about an idea he considered for decades: a simple way of keeping his furry friend clear of ticks. The idea came to him years prior when he was walking his own Mastiff through the woods.

Back then, Abrams noticed something when wiping his dog off with a microfiber towel. Ticks appeared to be sticking to the towel, as if they had been trapped. After all, microfiber was designed to remove tiny particles, suggesting the ticks were getting their legs caught on the fabric.
Meanwhile, Steve’s daughter Olivia was contemplating her own career path. The two talked about going into business together, going forward with the tick removal idea. For Olivia, it was partially personal, as she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease when she was younger.
Development wasn’t easy. After all, material needed to catch ticks while being safe for human and canine skin. The microfiber’s fabric neede just the right loops to catch a tick’s legs.
Eventually, the tick mitt design was settled. Intended for easy use, the material is simply wiped over skin, clothes, or a pet’s fur, and ticks that haven’t hooked themselves on will get caught.
The item can be cleaned by placing it in a special mesh bag an running it through a dryer. After ten minutes of heat, any ticks caught should be killed.
In 2023, Steve and Olivia settled on the Tick Mitt name and launched the product. Using her contacts, Olivia promoted the Tick Mitt on shows like Good Morning America and The View.
Steven & Olivia Abrams Also Serve On The Board Of Project Lyme
After the first year, the father and daughter made around $450,000 in sales. The Tick Mitt was even being sold in Canada, South Korea, and parts of Europe.
Soon, an online store was launched, complete with partnerships with retailers like Chewy and Orvis. Multipacks were also developed for families to use.

According to Shark Tank‘s product website, in addition to their work with the Tick Mitt, Steve and Olivia also sought to protect people from ticks in other ways. They both serve on the board of Project Lyme, which is dedicated to tick prevention and education.
The Tick Mitt can be purchased through the product’s website. The item can be purchased in packs of one, two, four, and ten. They can be purchased in different color combinations, including “Blue and Pink,” “Blue and Green,” and “Yellow and Green.”
The Tick Mitt can also be purchased as a kid edition and in bundles. Customers can also purchase a tote bag from the website.
The item can also be purchased on Amazon, where customers can pick the item by color. As the description reads, the Tick Mitt “easily remove ticks from your pet and yourself with a simple swipe. The soft, yet durable material is gentle on skin, preventing injury and discomfort during tick removal.”
Shark Tank Previously Promoted The Product On Social Media
