‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Ryan Seacrest Wants To Make One Big Change
There have been some big changes at Wheel Of Fortune, with the biggest one recently being Ryan Seacrest taking over as the new host. Based on the latest updates making the rounds, it seems Ryan wants to implement a big change that could switch up how they do things on the show. So, what is it that he wants to do?
Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest Has Put His Own Spin On Things
When you come into an established situation like the one that Ryan Seacrest did when he agreed to take over from Pat Sajak, it can be incredibly difficult to find your way. Wheel Of Fortune fans got used to the way that Pat did things for decades, and many viewers hate it whenever Ryan tries to do something different.
Even so, as the new Wheel Of Fortune host, Ryan Seacrest has done his best to add his signature to things and make things his own in this new era for the game show. Of course, there has been a lot of backlash from fans since he took over, but, it was also to be expected considering how long Pat Sajak was at the helm of the popular game show.
Popular Game Show Has Unique Filming Schedule
Wheel Of Fortune only films for 34 days out of the year. However, the catch to that is that they film six episodes back to back whenever they are on set filming the show. This includes wardrobe changes and more, as well as welcoming in a bunch of different contestants.
This is certainly an efficient way to do things at Wheel Of Fortune, especially for someone like Ryan Seacrest. As fans of his know, hosting the popular game show isn’t his only gig, as he is also the face of American Idol and more. So, it’s certainly a juggling act in more ways than one for him.
Ryan Seacrest Wants To Make One Big Change To Wheel Of Fortune
Ryan Seacrest previously shared that they have a 15-minute break in between Wheel Of Fortune games. However, the way that the new host sees it, he wants to implement a change that would make things even more efficient. Rather than having 15 minutes between games, Ryan would like to see that cut to 9 minutes. The host said: “I’d like 9.”
In theory, that gives an extra half an hour and change once the filming day is done. However, changing things to 9 minutes could be problematic for someone like Vanna White.
As longtime fans know, Vanna regularly wears elaborate attire when she films. While it’s certainly reasonable for Ryan to change his suit with his proposed time cut, it may not be as easy for Vanna to switch her outfits. This is not even taking into account any hair and makeup changes that she needs to make as well, in addition to the movement of crew members.
While Ryan Seacrest is doing a lot to make Wheel Of Fortune his own, it’ll be interesting to see if anyone would be on board with this proposed change.
