As longtime Wheel Of Fortune fans know, beating out the other game show contestants and making it to the final puzzle does not guarantee a win. By this point in games, the person who has a shot at the final puzzle typically already has a lot of cash and other prizes in the bag, but, the cherry on top is always to solve that final puzzle in the end.
As game show fans have seen over the years, a lot of different variables go into leading someone to solve the bonus puzzle correctly. If they pick the wrong letters, this can easily deter them, making it so that they can’t solve the puzzle within the given time frame. However, in some cases, the puzzles themselves are notoriously difficult as well.
Player Loses Big On Impossible Final Puzzle
In recent Wheel Of Fortune scenes, a player named Byron Bernard from Austin, Texas beat out the rest of the competition to make it to the final puzzle round. Before facing down the final puzzle, he already had a decent amount of cash to his name, and he was looking to add to his existing total of $13,600.
By the time this Wheel Of Fortune player stepped up to the plate to take on this final round, he was looking at a puzzle in the “Living Things” category. With all of the usual letters plugged in, as well as his personal letter choices, the puzzle he had to solve looked like this: “_ _ _ _T_C _ _R_S.”
This Wheel Of Fortune player could not even put a guess forward because of how complicated this puzzle was, and, as a result, he ended up missing out on $40k when he could not solve “Aquatic Birds.”
Wheel Of Fortune Fans Slam Difficult Puzzle
Even though this recent Wheel Of Fortune player did not solve this final puzzle correctly in the end, a lot of viewers don’t blame him. In fact, many are calling out this recent puzzle for being impossible to solve, and many other commenters had even more to say.
