‘Shark Tank’: Where To Buy The Permaplug Charger Lock?
Shark Tank fans often become interested in purchasing the items they see featured on the show. One item fans might be interested in having for their own is the Permaplug charger lock. Information has already come out on how viewers can purchase the items for their home.
Shark Tank Will Showcase A Product Aimed For Those ‘Tired Of Missing Chargers?’
For Zak Jones, phone chargers were a common occurrence as he juggled his daily life with raising kids. However, this led to a few common annoyances, like chargers going missing or someone using it without returning it. This meant Jones found himself constantly buying new chargers and came up with a solution.
Jones then began to think about the outlet. After all, it was all too easy for an entire charger to be pulled out.
Jones then experimented with ways of keeping chargers in place. These included things like building a recessed box into a wall or taping the cable. Ultimately, what was needed, was something easy to install, work on averages outlets, and offer the cord protection.
After a few prototypes, Jones realized routing the cable upward through the top of a plate was the solution. This proved to be the basis of the Permaplug.
Permaplug then launched in 2019, eventually reaching the market in 2023. Working with a co-founder, known as “Nicky,” the locking design was refined and eventually patented.
Permaplug Has Already Been Teased On Shark Tank‘s Social Media
The Permaplug charger lock replaces a standard wall plate. This plastic cover fits around a 20-watt charger block, locking in place with a single screw. After being installed, the product can only be removed after being unscrewed. The charger also comes with two ports, one USB-C and one USB-A. A shorting charging cable is also included.
The device wasn’t built with only the tech-savvy in mind. It was simply intended for those who were tired of lost chargers. The product is especially intended for parents, like Jones, who are tired of constantly replacing chargers. In addition, they are recommended for landlords and office managers who don’t like dealing with broken outlets or damaged cables. While starting with the original product, the company later expanded to other models, including “slimmer and faster” variants.
Those interested in the Permaplug device can purchase it from the company’s website. According to the Shark Tank products website, “support and returns are handled directly by the team, and every unit ships from Dallas.” The product is also available from Amazon in three different sizes.
The Permaplug charger lock will be featured on an episode of Shark Tank airing on March 2, 2025. It will be part of the eighteenth episode of Season 16. Before making its debut, however, Shark Tank also teased the product on Instagram.
