‘Live’ Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos’ New Set Takes Fans’ Breath Away
After 37 years in their original location, Live with Kelly and Mark debuted their brand new studio on Monday. They moved their studio from the Upper West Side to a new studio in the Walt Disney Company’s new downtown headquarters in New York City. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were excited to show off their new space to fans on April 14. What did they say about their new studio and what about it takes fans’ breath away? Live With Kelly And Mark Debut New Studio
Live with Kelly and Mark began a whole new era on Monday, April 14. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos debuted their brand new studio at 7 Hudson Square. When Kelly and Mark made their grand entrance, she began by saying, “Welcome to our brand new studio! Wowee! … What do ya think?”
Last week, the show was in limbo while finishing touches were being made to their new studio so they filmed at an atrium. Now, they are home and ready to welcome more exciting guests into their technologically upgraded space.
The new studio features a background photo of the Brooklyn Bridge since it is located in lower Manhattan now. There is also a rounded-edge, modern-looking wooden desk with a built-in monitor. Kelly and Mark will be seated on new cream-colored chairs.
The studio as a whole is more open without the bookshelves that used to be behind them. There are LED screens and marble-like frame tile surrounded by light wood floors.
There are two levels of seating for the audience as there were before. However, now, there is more room. Kelly and Mark did take a moment before welcoming their guests to acknowledge Production Designer Mike Fagan.
It was pointed out what a fantastic job he did on the new set. Kelly said, “We should point out that Mike Fagan is still with us, he did not quit. He did an incredible job. He is extraordinary.” Mark also commented saying that Mike had outdone himself.

What Are Fans Saying?
Live with Kelly and Mark fans were excited for the couple to be in their new studio. Those attending the first day of filming on the new set expressed their excitement while waiting to be seated. After the big debut fans went to social media to share their thoughts.
One fan said, “Love that you kept the same vibe, look and feel of the previous studio!!” Other fans noted how beautiful it is. Some said they couldn’t quit staring at the gorgeous background. Most agreed they love the new look and said it’s stunning.
As far as what Mark and Kelly brought from the old studio, they only brought one major thing. They brought their golden retriever statue, Sammy. They both noted they were glad they brought their studio dog. Mark and Kelly got the dog for the studio in 1997. Kelly noted it’s the same age as their son Michael.

Kelly Ripa has been doing the show since 2001 while her husband joined her as co-host in 2023.
