Fans Go Wild Over Whoopi Goldberg’s Public Meeting With Nun
Whoopi Goldberg is known for a variety of projects over the years, including co-hosting The View. Recently, fans got a chance to see her get interviewed herself. Notably, Goldberg even got to meet someone who certainly was a fan of her work.
Some Fans Best Know Whoopi Goldberg From The Sister Act Films
Goldberg is known for a variety of roles over the years. As an actress and a comedian, she’s appeared in films like Ghost, The Color Purple, The Lion King, and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Since 2007, she has also become known to audiences through her hosting duties on The View.
However, for many, one of her biggest roles is in the Sister Act franchise. In the film, Goldberg play a singer who poses as a nun in the witness protection program after watching a murder. Dubbed “Sister Mary Clarence,” she soon becomes the leader of the abbey choir with her musical talent.
The film proved popular enough to garner a sequel, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. This time, Goldberg’s character once again dons the habit to teach a music class and save their school.
Recently, while on the red carpet, Goldberg was asked about a possible third Sister Act movie. At the time, she revealed, “They have a script,” adding that hopeful fans should “keep [their] fingers crossed.”
Notably, the film continues to remain a favorite among her Italian fanbase. This recently got a nod when she appeared on the talk show, Che tempo che fa, hosted by Fabio Fazio.
Whoopi notably appeared dressed in a black and white outfit bringing to mind a nun’s uniform. Fans were sure to applaud her as she made her entrance.
Notably, Whoopi wasn’t the only one with that idea. Co-host Flippa Lagerback then appeared dressed as a nun and began to hug Whoopi. During her appearance, fans also saw Goldberg sign a book.
Many Fans Appreciated Seeing Whoopi, But Some Felt It Wasn’t Enough
Italian fans were happy to see Goldberg make an appearance. As one Italian fan noted, “Whoopi Goldberg’s smile has always been the same since my childhood.” Another noted, “It’s rare to find stars as deep and humble as Whoopi.”
The talk show is known for its informal style. However, some fans wished that Goldberg had been asked more questions. “Too bad the interview was pretty empty, missed opportunity.”

One fan in particular criticized Fazio, feeling he took up too much time. As they noted, “He’s been talking since she walked in…incredible! what a shame. that was a terrible interview. have a good evening!”
For some fans, this was a special opportunity for reason in particular. Whoopi herself might be a co-host on The View. However, she is not known for appearing in interviews herself, especially in recent years.
