Carrie Underwood Surprises Fans With New Duet

Even since her big win on American Idol, Carrie Underwood has delighted fans with her music. While the star has recently taken on the role of American Idol judge, Underwood has not forgotten her own roots as a singer. Recently, Underwood gave fans a surprise with a new duet.
Carrie Underwood Teased A New Duet On Social Media
Underwood first came to fame appearing on and ultimately winning the fourth season of American Idol. Since then, she has had a prominent career as a country artist.
Underwood recently made her return to American Idol during its 23rd season. This time, however, she’ll be on the other side of the panel as a judge, getting to help others reach their musical dreams.
However, Underwood still releases music of her own. Notably, Underwood and singer Ben Fuller recently teased a duet between each other on social media for fans.
Underwood and Fuller’s duet has been titled, “If It Was Up To Me,” which also functions as the song’s refrain. The accompanying video featured a brief clip of Underwood and Fuller working on the song as a sample played. Notably, the clip was shared by both Underwood and Fuller.
Fans Have Already Been Comparing The Song To A Blessing
In the caption, Fuller wrote, “If it was up to me, I’d miss blessing after blessing, I’d never know how good God is, and I’d never experience true freedom. I’m so grateful [Carrie Underwood] would lend her voice to this song.”
Fuller also shared the song’s release date. As he continued, “Jesus has changed my life and He can change yours too. ‘If It Was Up To Me’ coming 4/11. Pre-save now at the link in my bio.”

Fuller is a Contemporary Christian music singer based in Nashville. As his website noted, “Motivated to change, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career as a country singer in late 2018. A family Ben was close with invited him to church one Sunday and as he walked the halls into the auditorium filled with 3,000 people, he knew one day he would sing ‘that kind of music’ for the rest of his life.”
As the statement continued, “Falling face first into his new-found relationship with Jesus, he began writing with a burning desire to share what God did to turn his life around. Today, Ben lives completely sober, while sharing his story filled with hope, mercy and grace. By turning his testimony into songs, he has been rejuvenated with a new passion and mission; to share his story with the world and all who are ready to listen.”
Fans have also been sharing their own reactions to the new song in the post’s comments. A few were Fuller’s fans who also revealed they were also fans of Underwood. Some comments included:
