Carrie Underwood Roasts Luke Bryan In Hilarious ‘American Idol’ Scene
Carrie Underwood had a blast roasting her fellow American Idol judge, Luke Bryan, in a hilarious scene. The two have known each other for years as they are both country superstars. Now, they sit side by side as judges and are having the best time. Keep reading for this laugh-out-loud moment.

This is Carrie Underwood’s first season as a judge on American Idol. It makes perfect sense for her to have joined the reality singing competition as she won it in Season 4. She went on to sell millions of albums and win eight Grammys. Furthermore, she has a Las Vegas residency, so she is a force to be reckoned with. When Katy Perry left her judge’s chair, many were clammoring for the spot between Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Yet, Carrie made the cut and viewers have loved her as a new addition.
She has been having a great time alongside Lionel and Luke, who have been the core judges for years. However, she just took the time to roast Luke in a hilarious moment between the two. The three judges were chatting about their music when Carrie called out Luke, but what caused this? They were giving advice to a contestant, and Carrie had this wisdom, which has helped her immensely:
“You need to go and watch some of your favorite performers because I still do that.”
That comment sparked Luke to ask if Carrie watched him, to which she shut him down by responding:
“I watch Lionel.”
Lionel loved this response so much that he quipped:
“God bless ya, Carrie.”

In all fairness, Lionel Richie has been a musical icon for decades, far longer than Luke Bryan. Therefore, even if Carrie Underwood was teasing her fellow American Idol judge, it would make sense. After fans saw this moment between the three, they realized why Carrie was the perfect choice to replace Katy. It was questionable at one point if she would face backlash for performing at the 2025 inauguration. Yet, it seems she is doing just fine.
Fans Love The New Season
The camaraderie between Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie is unmatched. American Idol fans are loving this new season, and most of all, they are pleasantly surprised by Carrie. They had faith in her but no one knows how someone will fare until the time comes. Fortunately, there has been little to no backlash and just praise:
