Teddi Mellencamp Shares Heartbreak Over Fans’ Comments
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp has been dealing with various health issues over the past few years. While keeping fans updated about her journey. she has also received feedback from them. Recently, she shared the reaction she can sometimes receive from these comments.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Has Been Dealing With Tumors & Skin Cancer Over The Past Few Years
Teddi, the daughter of musician John Mellencamp, is herself best known for appearing on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2017 to 2020. She has also become known for her work with podcasts, including “Two T’s in a Pod,” with Tamra Judge, and “Teddi Tea Pod.”
In her personal life, Teddi was married to Matt Robertson from 2006 to 2010. She later married Edwin Arroyave in 2011. Teddi announced plans to separate from Arroyave this past November.
In 2022, Teddi was diagnosed with Stage 2 melanoma, a form of skin cancer. Earlier this year, she had also been hospitalized due to brain tumors. In April 2025, she announced that it had progressed to Stage 4.
As noted by E! Online, Teddi recently shared some comments she’s received from fans on social media concerning her tumors. As she shared her Instagram Stories, she noted a fan wrote, “‘This is so heartbreaking. Typically, stage four cancer is terminal especially with metastasis. Praying that Teddi heals and is an outlier.’”
As the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared, while she knows fans’ hearts are in the right place, they don’t always help. She noted, “These kind of comments make me really sad.”
Teddi Has Often Kept Fans Updated About Her Current Health Journey, Through The Highs & Lows
“I know people are trying to help but heart breaking for me to read. Of course I know the chances but I truly believe with my whole heart I will beat this and watch my kids graduate.”
Teddi teased that she hoped to be around for a while. As she teased, she hoped to “vent on the pod and have everyone get mad at me” and “annoy my siblings by reminding everyone I am the favorite” for years to come.

In addition, the publication noted that Teddi also has a reason to celebrate. She recently finished radiation therapy to shrink her tumors. As she previously shared on Instagram, “Ringing the bell can signify a major phase of treatment. Today was my last day of radiation. 5 more rounds of immunotherapy to go. Love you all for the kind messages.” In a video, she could be seen ringing a hospital bell.
In another video, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared, “I’ve got my graduation papers. The good luck bell. Ring this bell three times well, it’s told to clearly say my treatment’s done, the course is run, and I am on my way.”
