Helen Hunt Posts Update Photo On Social Media
Helen Hunt recently posted a selfie on Instagram and seemed excited about what she called “Tech…Day 1.” She was holding her cell phone to take the selfie, which featured the symbol of her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. She also appeared to be outside a restroom with some makeup on the table.
Here is what “Tech” means. Hunt, 61, is starring in Harold Pinter’s stage play Betrayal at Chicago’s Goodman Theater. This is a backstage photo from the play. She is sitting at the makeup table with a white button-down shirt and her hair pulled back as she prepares for the performance. As the post revealed, this was her first performance day in the play.
Helen said she loves theater and is excited to return to acting on stage. “Theater has always meant the world to me,” Hunt said (via Chicago Sun-Times). “I was raised going to the theater. The theater has helped me make sense of the world. It gave me joy. It’s kept me company. So there’s never been a day when the theater hasn’t been important to me.”
Betrayal is a play that started in 1978 and tells the story of the betrayal resulting from a seven-year extramarital affair involving a married couple (Emma and Robert) and Robert’s close friend Jerry, who is also married. Jerry and Emma had an affair. The play is well-known for its use of reverse chronology, with the first two scenes taking place after the relationship has ended.

Helen Hunt is joined in the revival of the play with co-stars Robert Sean Leonard (House, MD) and Ian Barford. Past actors who have appeared in the play also include major names like Raul Julia, Roy Scheider, Blythe Danner, Juliette Binoche, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Tom Hiddleston, and Charlie Cox. Helen joins a great company.
