The Kelly Clarkson Show Recently Celebrated A Big Milestone

Kelly Clarkson first rose to fame competing on the first season of American Idol, ultimately serving as the show’s first winner. Over the years, she has had a prominent career in music, often being considered one of American Idol‘s biggest success stories.

Over the years, Clarkson has also made a few returns to television. From 2018 to 2023, she served as a coach for The Voice. Since 2019, she’s also hosted her own talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Notably, the show is celebrating a big milestone: its 1,000th episode. Despite this, fans have been noticing something missing from the show as of late: Clarkson herself.

As noted by Vulture, in the interim, figures like Simu Liu, Brooke Shields, Kal Penn, and Andy Cohen have been filling in for the title host. However, Clarkson made her return for the March 20, 2025 episode, just in time to celebrate the landmark episode.

However, even though Clarkson is back, her recent lacuna has gotten some fans worried. Taking to social media, one fan opened up a post, noting, “Kelly Clarkson’s show is not the same without her.”

Some Fans Are Worried, Others Think The Show’s In A Good Place

As the fan noted, they were concerned if the show could be in danger. They asked, “What is going on? Is Kelly’s show going to be cancelled, has it been too much for her with so much in her life going on 🙁 her small children and all of her singing appearances.”

“Do we know what her contract is? Yes, she is back today but was gone yesterday and way before that for weeks.”
