‘Young & Restless’ Billy Flynn’s Character New Villain, Working With Victor?
It’s been announced that Billy Flynn will join the cast of The Young and the Restless. Fans are already wondering just what his new character will be like. In fact, some think there could already be a story with Victor Newman in the making.
Soap Fans May Recognize Billy Flynn From Days Of Our Lives
Flynn is certainly no stranger to soap opera fans. He is known for playing Chad DiMera on Days of Our Lives, a role he’s had since 2014.
However, it was recently announced that Flynn would be leaving the soap and join another. The actor is set to join the cast of The Young and the Restless as a new character.
As noted by What To Watch, there isn’t much information available about Flynn’s character. However, that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to piece together what his character will be like.
In particular, as the publication noted, there is some speculation that Flynn’s character could be connected to Eric Braeden’s Victor. However, it’s unclear if the two will be allies or enemies.
One theory suggests that Flynn’s character could be a secret employee for Victor. He could be the very mole Victor needs to break up Claire and Kyle, a relationship he opposes. That said, the soap also appeared to be setting up a relationship with Claire and Holden.
An alternate theory is that he could be the mysterious Aristotle Dumas. As Victor previously noted on the soap, he was the true owner of Damian’s companies.
As previously reported, there had been much speculation over the mysterious character, who seems inspired by The Count of Monte Cristo. Much like Flynn’s character, fans wondered if Dumas could be anything from a business rival or love-interest to the characters of Genoa City.
Head Writer Josh Griffith Talked About Flynn Joining The Young & The Restless
Thanks to this, it would fit for the two to be one and the same. It would also be timely, as the actor and the character were both recently announced as additions to the soap, though this could also be a red herring.
At this time on the soap, Michael is tasked by Victor with looking into Dumas. This could spur Dumas to make an appearance in person, possibly leading to a confrontation with Victor himself.

As noted by Soap Opera Digest, The Young and the Restless‘ head writer Josh Griffith shared a statement about Flynn joining the soap. As he shared, “On behalf of the entire company of The Young and the Restless, we look forward to welcoming Billy to the show. He will be a wonderful addition to Y&R’s stellar cast.”
It was also noted that Flynn’s episodes will likely air in 2026. This means fans will have to wait to see what direction the character takes.
