As much as Family Feud fans love Steve Harvey as the host of the popular game show, viewers also love peeking into his family and home life as well. Steve Harvey has been married to his wife, Marjorie Harvey, for almost 20 years, and within that time, they have blended their families together.
Both Steve and Marjorie had children from previous marriages when they got together. Blending families can be a difficult task, but especially for people like Steve Harvey, who is in the public eye as a popular celebrity. Through all of that, they have navigated marriage, children, being in the public eye, and more.
Harvey Recalls How He And Marjorie Got Together
Family Feud host Steve Harvey recently recalled more details surrounding how he and Marjorie Harvey got together. The way Harvey tells it, he just got divorced from his second wife when he got a call with Marjorie on the line, with her wanting to reconnect with him while he was out gambling.
While he initially dismissed the call, it seems his bodyguard insisted he take it, and according to this version of events, Steve recognized Marjorie’s voice all the way back from 1987, even though it was 2005 at the time that he got this phone call.
However, fans quickly noticed some major discrepancies between the way Steve Harvey told this story and the way some of the other details allegedly came together. As one example, Steve previously said that he first met Marjorie at a comedy club in 1990. So, where he got 1987 from also threw fans for a loop.
Family Feud Fans Catch Steve Harvey In A Lie?
While Family Feud fans heard this story from Steve Harvey, viewers could not help but point out some major inconsistencies in this version of how he and Marjorie reconnected. One thing that Family Feud fans pointed out is the fact that, according to Steve, he took a private jet to Memphis to meet up with Marjorie so that they could “talk.” At the time, he also told her that his divorce was finalized the day before.
What makes this interesting is the fact that Steve Harvey claimed that this divorce left him with only $1,700 in cash to his name. Due to this, many wonder how Harvey was able to rent this private jet with so little cash allegedly to his name at the time.
