Steve Harvey Loses Patience On ‘Family Feud’ Contestants

Steve Harvey, the popular host of Family Feud, is known for his quick wit and humorous roasts of contestants when they give funny or silly answers. However, there’s one thing that seems to get under his skin more than anything else: when contestants refuse to listen and repeat the same answer over and over again. This hilarious situation unfolded recently on Family Feud when Harvey’s patience was tested by a team called the Patterson family.
Steve Harvey Asks The Contestants A Question
In the game, Harvey asked the players to name another way people say “Mother.” The first player, Jamie, hit the buzzer and answered “Mama,” which was one of the correct answers. The next contestant, Patricia, answered with “Mommy,” which turned out to be the top answer on the board. So far, so good—but things quickly started to go downhill.
After the team chose to play the question, it was Yolanda’s turn. She answered “Nanny,” but it didn’t show up on the board. The next player, Cecilia, answered with “Nana,” and while this was a valid answer, things took a strange turn when the next contestant, Sheila, repeated Cecilia’s answer—only she pronounced it differently.
“Stop clapping!” Harvey quickly told the audience as they cheered, realizing the mistake. He pointed out that Cecilia had already said “Nana,” and Sheila had just repeated it as “Na-Na.” He couldn’t believe the team hadn’t noticed they were giving the same answer in different ways. Harvey wasn’t letting it go. “Didn’t you say Nah-Nah?” he asked Cecilia, who agreed. Sheila then insisted that “Na-Na” was different, which only added to the confusion. Harvey clearly wasn’t having it.
Trying to get the team to understand, he asked Sheila to give a completely different answer, but she again gave him a variation of “Mommy.” This answer was almost the same as Patricia’s. At this point, Harvey was beyond frustrated, and his famous comedic style kicked in. “You’ll crazy?” he asked, clearly wondering what was going on with the team. He mocked them by repeating the different versions of “Nana” they had given, including “Nana,” “Na-Na,” “Na-Nee,” and “Naw-Naw.”
The Contestants Didn’t Understand Harvey
Even after this comedic outburst, Sheila struggled to come up with something new. The team continued to offer variations of the same word, much to Harvey’s disbelief. In an attempt to show them how silly the situation was, Harvey broke into an impromptu song using only the word “Mommy.” He sang, rapped, whispered, and even yelled to make his point that the answers were the same. He was putting on a whole show, but it didn’t seem to be helping.
Finally, after many attempts, Sheila repeated “Na-Na” again, which made Harvey give up. He walked away from the team’s podium in disbelief, joking that the Family Feud editors would need to cut this part of the showdown because no one could sit through it. He even sang the famous “Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!” song as he tried to lighten the mood.
In the end, Harvey gave one last warning to Sheila: whatever she said next would be taken, even if it was a repeat. Sheila responded with “Mom,” which was already on the board. Harvey couldn’t help but shout out, “Let’s just flip that [expletive] up!” as the third strike appeared on the screen.
It was another classic Family Feud moment, where Harvey’s patience—and sense of humor—were put to the ultimate test. Despite the confusion, viewers got a good laugh from the situation, and it reminded us all of just how entertaining Steve Harvey can be when things don’t go as planned.
