Hunter King Joins The Neighborhood Spinoff

On Wednesday, Hunter King went to Instagram to announce that she is going to be starring in The Neighborhood spinoff. The Rabisu star shared, “Crying, screaming, throwing up 🥹thank you to @kaplanaaron and @cbstv for this amazing opportunity! This cast is unbelievable and I feel so lucky to get to act along side of them. AHHH someone pinch me! ✨❤️”

King is joining Justin Long, Kara Royster, and Angelique Cabral in guest starring in The Neighborhood Season 7 finale episode. According to Deadline, this spinoff will include Marcel Spears and Sheaum McKinney and is slated for the 2025-2026 season. This reunites King with CBS, home of The Young and The Restless.

This show takes place in Venice Beach, where a cornucopia of personalities are on their own for the first time, navigating life. Hunter King will portray Bellamy. “Dark, sardonic, and often under the influence of edibles, Bellamy works generating content for the coolest cannabis boutique in SoCal. Despite her jaded outlook, she’s also hilarious, fun, and a fiercely loyal friend. Bellamy does have a secret dream of doing something bigger, but for now, she’s content in her carefully curated world of detachment and irony.”

Did Young And The Restless Alum Leave Hallmark?

While this probable spinoff series of The Neighborhood is a huge deal for the 31-year-old Hunter King. However, Hallmark fans may wonder when or if King will be returning to the network. Obviously, the goal is to get on a series. A lot of Hallmark stars have returned from a network series like Michael Rady or filmed a movie on a network break like Jessy Schram. A young star like Hunter is going to want to star in a series. That is the dream.

However, when legendary Hallmark casting agent Penny Perry sued the network for age discrimination, she shared that King would succeed Lacey Chabert. What likely happened is that the network was thinking of who their next Lacey would be. They have to always think of the future. Holiday Touchdown was surely the biggest movie the network would be a part of. That is likely why they cast Tyler Hynes, and their future Queen of Christmas, Hunter King.

But, now the network may have to start looking for another younger star to grow into that coveted role. Meanwhile, everyone, especially fellow Hallmark stars are congratulating Hunter King for this big news.
