Did Paramount+ Renew Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’ Season 2?
The Taylor Sheridan series Landman Season 1 was an resounding success. This popular Paramount+ series that is based on the Boomtown podcast stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, and Kayla Wallace. Will it be back forĀ Season 2?
Here is the latest news.
Is Landman Returning For Season 2?
The big question that viewers want to know is whether Landman will return for Season 2. Currently, the series has not been renewed for Season 2. However, in December, The Wrap reported that the Taylor Sheridan series was the “most watched Paramount+ original.” In the first four weeks of streaming, nearly 15 million households “globally” watched the fascinating story of the world of the West Texas oil boom.
This is a different sort of upstairs/downstairs tale. This series plays off of the investors and careless billionaires, as well as slick politicians, while those regular folk did the dangerous work that sometimes left them maimed or got them killed.
Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy is in the middle of all of this chaos, which also added a Mexican drug cartel into the equation. Andy Garcia plays Gallino. Also, Demi Moore’s Cami Miller, widow of Monty, Tommy’s boss, will be front and center if there is a second season. Jon Hamm told USA Today that Cami is going to be a big part of the second season, something that Taylor Sheridan told Demi Moore.
Hamm paraphrased Sheridan’s statement. “Trust me, I’m going to take care of you. This will be worth your while.” Adding to that Hamm said, “Cami’s got so much room to grow and show who she really is. It’s going to be fascinating to watch.”
Demi Moore Said That Taylor Sheridan Series Returning For Season 2
Speaking of Demi Moore, she told Deadline last May, months before the Landman premiere, that the series would return for Season 2. It certainly makes more sense after hearing what Jon Hamm had to say about it. Moore was at the Cannes film festival when she shared that report. She also shared that her character wore great clothes and “there’s delicious drama within and family dynamics.”
Now that Yellowstone is officially done, Sheridan may have more time to work on a Season 2 script. Moreover, it seems that the cast is all in and ready for more. All fans have to do is wait for Paramount+ to make an announcement.
