Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, and George Stephanopoulos were on break for the holiday season. Whit Johnson, Gio Benitez, and Janai Norman were replacing them behind the Good Morning America newsdesk. They were there for the weekend edition of GMA and decided to share New Year’s Resolutions.
Whit started things off when he said, “All right, we’re having a lightning round here, our new year’s resolutions, let’s start with you, Janai. What have you got?” She quickly answered that she wanted to learn Spanish well enough to converse. She even said that Gio offered to help her. Gio responded, “So now our conversations, we’re going to do them in Español.”
Gio offered to teach Whit, too, before saying his New Year’s Resolution was to “master he piano.” He said he was already learning, but he wanted to master it. Whit said he liked that resolution. However, it was a little more serious when it came to him.
Whit said, “Don’t judge me on this one… I’m actually looking for ways to avoid arguments with my daughters” (via Daily Mail).
