Jeopardy! has announced the contestants on the next Tournament of Champions. It includes everyone who qualified with five wins or more. It also includes some Wild Cars that missed the mark but proved worthy in their time as champions as well. Finally, it also includes the news that one person who qualified has dropped out.

Here is who made the cut for the next Tournament of Champions.

Who Automatically Qualified For Jeopardy! Tournament Of Champions?

The 2025 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions includes 21 players. This includes the top 20 champions from April through December 2024 and whoever wins a 15-contestant Champions Wildcard. This tournament will start on January 27, 2025, and last about two and a half weeks.

First up, there are players who won five or more games who automatically qualified for the tournament. Like in 2022, the top three winners will all get byes and immediately slide into the semifinals. This includes Adriana Harmeyer, Isaac Hirsch, and Drew Basile.

Adriana won 15 games, Isaac won nine, and Drew won seven. After that, there were only four other players who won five games. This means that the following automatically qualified: Greg Jolin (5), Alison Betts (5), Mark Fitzpatrick (5), and Amy Hummel (5).

There was also some disappointing news. Lisa Ann Walter automatically qualified by winning Celebrity Jeopardy! Season 2. However, she had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

Who Else Is In Jeopardy! Tournament Of Champions?

With the three top winners and the four other qualifiers, the tournament needs 14 more players.

Four people with four wins will move on: Ryan Manton, Grant DeYoung, Will Wallace, and Amare Kakirde. Seven people with three wins will move on: Lucas Partridge, David Erb, Will Stewart, Neilesh Vinjamuri, Rishabh Wuppalapati, Allison Gross, and Weckiai Rannila.

There will be a Champions Wildcard tournament before the Tournament of Champions, a Second-Chance Competition for some hard-luck losers from the season. That tournament winner moves on.

For those counting, that is only 19 contestants. This means that two more contestants whose games haven’t aired yet will qualify before all is said and done.

The way this is set up is that there will be six quarterfinal matchups, those winners and the three seeded players will go onto the semifinals. After that, there will be nine players remaining and each will play one of three semifinal games, with only one from each game advancing to the finals.

The champion will be the first to three wins (not a best of seven). That player wins $250,000 and a spot in the Jeopardy! Masters tournament.

Who do you think will win the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions in 2025? Do you have a favorite, or are you cheering for an underdog? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
