What David Boreanaz Just Said About A ‘Bones’ Revival
Have you been missing Bones on Fox? The investigative TV show was a big hit for viewers for 12 seasons starting in 2005. David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel took the lead as the main characters. The final season of Bones aired in 2017 after several years of serious success. Is it possible David and Emily might link back up for a reboot or revival of the show? Here’s what you should know.
David Boreanaz Is Open To A Revival Of Bones
On Bones, David played the character of Seely Booth, a special agent from the FBI. He would always link up with a forensic anthropologist named Dr. Temperance Brennan. Her nickname was “Bones” since she always analyzed bone fragments at different crime scenes. Emily’s the actress who handled that role. Is it possible David and Emily would be down to come together for a 13th season of the show? David told Variety:
“When I really look at it, it’s the type of show that was so revered and loved, and I don’t want to say mindless, but it’s mindless entertainment when you really think about it. The dynamic between these two characters was really fun to play, and if there’s happiness and joy in it, it would be easy; it wouldn’t be difficult or hard. Obviously, (a revival) would be limited. It wouldn’t be this long, lengthy thing, but also working with her would be great. Trust me: It’s not something that I’m focused on right now in my life where I’m at presently, but it’s the one show that I would consider — and I will say, consider.”
Interestingly enough, David has been busy filming a brand new show since Bones ended. SEAL Team premiered in 2017 and has gone on for seven seasons. The action-packed show focuses on a group of Navy SEALs under pressure in nearly every episode. Anyone who’s curious to know what things are like for members of the military can get some of their questions answered by watching this show. What about Emily?
Ever since Bones ended, she’s starred in a handful of interesting projects including Devil in Ohio, Animal Kingdom, and Celebrity Animal Encounters. If Bones were to come out with a 13th season of the show, creators still have tons of material to work with for more intriguing episodes. Shows that focus on solving murders tend to have a lot of idea potential. After all, people can be murdered in a multitude of ways.
That’s why shows like Law and Order and Criminal Minds have so many seasons for people to binge-watch! Would you tune in if Bones announced a revival starring David and Emily in the leading roles? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
