Fans Demand The Return Of One Tree Hill

One of the most beloved TV shows of the early 2000s, One Tree Hill is an American teen drama that revolves around half-brothers, Nathan and Lucas Scott. Despite having the same father, the two believe they couldn’t be more different from one another as they live completely different lives.

The two switch back and forth from acting like brothers to acting like enemies. Not by choice, their worlds collide both on the basketball court and friend group. The series watches them and their friends grow up from high school through college.

The series stars Chad Michael Murray as Lucas. Murray is best known for A Cinderella Story and Gilmore Girls. Nathan is played by James Lafferty who is best known for Everyone Is Doing Great and Red Right Hand.

Fans were disappointed when the show concluded and have been impatiently waiting for a reboot. The cast has already had a reunion at the One Tree Hill Reunion Basketball Game. However, this is not enough.

Bush and Hilarie Burton teased the reboot on their Instagrams in August. Can fans expect a real reboot though? Sophia Bush gave her knowledge on the subject.

When’s The Reboot?

Sophia Bush has a podcast, Drama Queens with Robert Buckley. The two answered fan questions on the One Tree Hill reboot on their Thursday, September 19th episode. Unfortunately, Bush expressed that she “can’t tell anyone anything” at the moment.

PEOPLE has reported that the reboot is in the early stages of development. Bush did disclose that the discussion of the reboot has been going on for “half a decade.” Additionally, she disclosed that “we’ve been able to all sort of divide and conquer in the coolest way. And those of us with TV producing experience are having some really exciting conversations.”

Bush did wish that they could’ve announced the reboot as “official” before it leaked but isn’t too upset about it. Moreover, Bush explained that the reboot has “been in development for some time.” Bush continued to express that she couldn’t disclose any details.

She went on to say that “the experiences we’ve had with the fans who’ve continually asked the coolest questions and make us think about, you know, where our whole ragtag gang of humans would be at this point [is what] has prompted the ideas.” Does this mean that fans’ theories and ideas inspired the reboot concepts?
